Great listen!
Revisado: 03-01-25
This was a good story and plot! The characters were well developed and the narrators were great. Love the storyline, disliked the ending. I was left wanting more.

Historia
I was supposed to be in charge. That was always my intention. Until that slick corporate raider, Ethan Bradford, clicked his fancy pen and poof! Just like that, I was under him, instead of on top. Rich and powerful men - especially arrogant, handsome ones - are all the same. I know exactly how to handle him, but when my father pulls rank and orders me to play nice, my plans of putting him in his place vanish. I know his type. I've been around men like him my entire life, but one chance meeting with him and his son, makes me question everything I thought I knew.

Went on too long
Revisado: 04-17-23
Great story at first but it could have been told in 2hrs. It went on too long and some of the story was unnecessary.

Intriguing story
Revisado: 10-17-22
The story roped me in from the beginning. I became vested in the plot and wanted to know if the accused did it, her son or someone else. I enjoyed the story right up until the end. The end made no sense and didn’t tie into the character development that the story created for each character. The ending felt like the author wanted so badly to have a plot twist that she decided to throw out everything that made sense in the book.
I enjoyed the story but the ending makes it hard for me to recommend this book.

Mixed Review
Revisado: 05-29-21
I enjoyed the story but there were parts that served no purpose in the story and could have been left out. It felt like it was added just as fillers to make the minimum pages that the author needed.
Pros: very funny story, it combined humor with seriousness and emotion. The love between the two main characters was beautiful and their interaction was believable.
Cons: the narrator spoke way too fast at times. The description of the book made you think the church and her ex would be a huge problem but that wasn’t the case. The scene towards the end with her sister’s husband was unnecessary and could have been left out as it served no purpose.
Overall impression: this was a good book and worth the credit but I was still left with wishing for a little more.

Foster Cruise is sexy as hell and worth billions. But he destroyed my family. He may have gone to prison, but he hasn't paid nearly enough for what I've lost. He has no idea who I am, but I'm determined to prove what the law failed to - and put him back behind bars where he belongs. I'll offer him my body and sell my soul to that handsome-as-hell devil to make things right. Trouble is, I'm afraid he's already stolen my heart.

Good story but!
Revisado: 06-19-19
Overall I enjoyed the story itself albeit a few far fetched angles but it was a good story. My biggest issue was the female narrator’s voice. It was very annoying. Her voice sounded like a high school teenager and really made the book unbearable in some parts. I would read this author again but not with the female narrator.

Historia
A tyrant by day, a playboy by night. That's the reputation that precedes Richard VanRyan. He lives life the way he wants, no concern for the opinion of others. He cares for no one, is completely unrepentant, and has no desire to change his ways. Katharine Elliott works under Richard as his PA. She despises him and his questionable ethics, but endures all the garbage he sends her way, because she needs the job.

Great read!
Revisado: 12-20-16
I found myself laughing out loud! Richard's sarcasm, rudeness and jerk like attitude made me think " wow, I dislike this guy". But his charm made me hate to love him. His character was so well developed that I felt like I really new him. Even when he started to become the man that he really is he never lost his edge or his personality. Katie, Katie! What an interesting character. Little by little you saw who she was. She wasn't week or "clumsy" but witty and funny, charming yet strong enough to bite her down for the bigger picture. When she finally unleashed, her tongue was just as sharp . I truly loved this book and enjoyed hearing these characters come alive, grow and fall in love. Well written, beautifully narrated and woven together in an interesting way. Without any spoilers this audio book is a must own. My only complaint is I wish there was an epilogue. I wanted more!
