Historia
In Conan and the Emerald Lotus, the seeds of a deadly plant grant sorcerers immense power, but turn its users into inhuman killers. In the exclusive, long-awaited sequel Conan and the Living Plague, a Shemite wizard seeks to create a serum to use as a lethal weapon. Instead he unleashes a hideous monster on the city of Dulcine. Hired to loot the city of its treasures, Conan and his fellows in the mercenary troop find themselves trapped in the depths of the city’s keep. To escape, they must defeat the creature, its undead followers, then face Lovecraftian horrors beyond mortal comprehension.

Lacking the mirth
Revisado: 07-05-24
Conan is a serious moral-high-ground humourless know-it-all honourable barbarian. A walking muscled cliché of a strong subtle smart knowledgeable best at everything robot.
Sounds like Conan, but what's missing is fun, humour, banter, faults, chaos, a touch of humanity in the character.
The end result are a couple of adventures that are interesting and with a few twists, but Conan's cat-like reflexes and iron strength, with the lion like roaring battle cry, and ethical righteousness makes the action very predictable.
Well performed with distinctive voices, and the stories are unpredictable enough to maintain the interest to find out how it ends. Unfortunately there isn't much variation with the individual characters to play around with, ending up with wooden stick figure characters.

Historia
Field Marshal Tamas' coup against his king sends corrupt aristocrats to the guillotine and brings bread to the starving. But it also provokes war in the Nine Nations, internal attacks by royalist fanatics and greedy scrambling for money and power by Tamas' supposed allies: the Church, workers' unions, and mercenary forces. Stretched to his limit, Tamas relies heavily on his few remaining powder mages, including the embittered Taniel, a brilliant marksman who also happens to be Tamas' estranged son, and Adamat, a retired police inspector whose loyalty will be tested to its limit.

Very enjoyable

Very well read, good choice of voices for the characters. On par with Joe Abercrombie.
