Politics killed it for me

Being barraged with Kings political views right away in the story turned me right off. I’m ok disagreeing with any authors politics but he basically vilifies half of the country hard. It’s just too much and not enjoyable.

Not for me , too implausible

The Concept is interesting but it got too far-fetched with what he accomplishes in one hour a day and I'll try to explain without any spoilers...too lofty. I think if the author had kept his accomplishments a bit more realistic I could have listened but his accomplishments went beyond what most people, even highly intelligent people do in a full life. Also the cat...too far-fetched, cats are smart but this is too much.

Not the best one in the series

This one was a bit much with explanations of the zodiac signs, it made it unnecessarily lengthy. I still Love the main characters and will look forward to the next one, just my least favorite so far.

Even though all the pieces came together too neatly & you figure out the mysteries fairly early on, the story was still entertaining.

Good but a few little issues

The overall story was good including the narration However, I had 2 issues with this book. When the story moved back and forth through time it was not always obvious so I would feel lost for a few minutes and also the book dragged on toward the end , I think it could have concluded an hour (or the chapters equivalent to that) sooner . I did like the character development.

Umm...not for me

I like a lot of dystopian books/movies and even some fantasy fiction but I do believe a dystopian novel should have some element of "this can in possibly happen in my lifetime" to it , well, when you add in Magik's (magical people) and Fairies into it you lose me. They just didn't fit with the scenario in my opinion, I think they took away from the story instead of adding. I Tried twice to listen to this book because of the good reviews but I just couldn't finish it.

Cant finish it

1. Cant connect with the main characters
2. When someone attempts to strangle one of the main characters she acts like its about as bad as getting yelled at or something similar
3. When the main characters find the dead body of someone they are on their way to visit they are almost nonchalanlty unfazed
This is all in the beginning of the book...its ridiculous

Very different, really enjoyable all the way through. Good Characters , interesting storyline, the courtroom drama part held my attention.

This is a book of anecdotes that are sometimes amusing, sad or heart warning. I think the biggest problem with the book is the author reading it...I tried to speed it a bit up but that didn't work. I started to think "where is this going?. It wasn't awful just not my cup of tea.
