Historia
Sydney Shaw, like every single woman in New York, has terrible luck with dating. She’s seen it all: men who lie in their dating profile, men who stick her with the dinner bill, and worst of all, men who can't shut up about their mothers. But finally, she hits the jackpot. Her new boyfriend is utterly perfect. He's charming, handsome, and works as a doctor at a local hospital. Sydney is swept off her feet. Then the brutal murder of a young woman—the latest in a string of deaths across the coast—confounds police. The primary suspect? A mystery man who dates his victims before he kills them.

Freida did it again!
Revisado: 10-07-24
When you read Freida’s book, you know that whatever you are sure you guessed right, you will be wrong. So just read or listen and enjoy the plot and Freida’s writing and allow yourself to be surprised at the end. Writing a good thriller is not easy: readers are waiting for holes in the plot, character flaws and illogical twists and turns. Freida sails through all if it smoothy and again gives us a gem of the book to enjoy. My only remark that has nothing to do with the book is the male narrator who was just… too much. He couldn’t ruin the listening experience, but he surely gave it a try.

Meghan, Brecia, and Skye have just one thing in common. They were all murdered by the same man. He hunted them online, masquerading as an eligible bachelor. Then he played the perfect gentleman, a thick layer of charm and a thousand-watt smile hiding the fact that his first dates end in shallow graves. He’s gotten away with murder three times now. The only thing that might keep him from killing again? The women he murdered. Meghan, Brecia, and Skye might be dead, but they’re not gone. They’ve found each other. And they won’t rest until they find a way to stop him.

Gripping and original
Revisado: 09-08-24
It is difficult to say you loved the book where all the major characters are dead from the very beginning. What makes it stand out as one of the most original books I ever listened is that unique perspective which keeps you wanting to know how (and if) they get their justice. The author managed to escape the trap of all mighty spirits performing supernatural things and kept the healthy (sic!) distance from the usual misconceptions. The book is very well written, intelligent and makes you think… especially about Andrea.

Freida never seize to amaze me
Revisado: 02-14-24
It always make me sad when I get to the end of Freida books. Her writing creates an amazing world of strange characters and twisted events that engulf you in it from beginning to end. What I admire most is her craftsmanship and character development which you mostly do not know whether to love or hate. Freida knows all too well how to create a twist in a tale and although you know it is coming it does create a wow effect. Another winner and I can’t wait for the next one.

John Marrs is something different
Revisado: 08-27-23
John Marrs never seized to amaze me with his plots and characters. His books are not your typical psychological thriller- they are much more than that. Without further ado, just keep on reading…
Only downside is one of the male narrators - irritating voice and mumbling words…

Dark, twisted and brilliant
Revisado: 08-17-23
John Marrs takes us to the darkest depths of the human mind and he does it with such a good writing that leaves you in awe. This book is not for everyone’s taste, however, for those of us fascinated by choices we make under difficult circumstances and then have to live with them, this is a must to read. Elizabeth Knowleden as the narrator gave it the additional emotional depth.

Too much drama
Revisado: 06-15-23
This book could have been just fine and interesting to listen. However, the plot has some serious flaws and inconsistencies that it was really difficult not to notice. The idea was good, the characters likable. Another thing I really struggled with is the male narrator! Nathalie Buscombe was great as always.

I love the book when I think I am so clever and guessed everything and then the author proves me wrong. Claire Douglas is a very good writer and Georgia Maguire is one of the best narrators. Definitively worth a credit.

A well crafted story
Revisado: 03-19-23
Just finished listening and it absolutely lived up to my expectations. Like all previous Rachel Abbott books it is excellently written, with well developed characters, brilliant plot and logical ending. I love the way the story flows, how seemingly unrelated situations come together, how we are drawn into the relationships with characters… Well done! And well done Lisa Coleman for a brilliant reading.

Simply brilliant
Revisado: 02-16-23
This is probably one of the best psychological books I have ever read. Not a thriller, but a real, deep dive into human subconsciousness and motives that drive our behaviors. Fir some thriller lovers it might seem slow-paced, but for those of us who appreciate good writing, this book and the narrator are a real gem.
