Historia
From the depths of despair to the pinnacle of power, Matt's ascension to Dungeon Lord has been a crucible of blood and terror. But the higher he climbs, the more precarious his perch becomes. As winter's fingers close around his hard-won domain, Matt and his beleaguered allies yearn for respite. Instead, they face a nightmare beyond imagining. The Coronaught infection sweeps through the land like wildfire, twisting human flesh into abominations that defy sanity. Grotesque mutations stalk the shadows, their hunger insatiable. In this maelstrom of horror, Matt must be more than a leader.

Historia
Years have passed since the devastating war tore through the heart of the Settled Territories, reshaping the balance of power in ways previously unimaginable. Yet, tranquility remains elusive as the looming threat of the Domes, ancient prisons harboring horrors rivaling that of Hastur, edges closer to unleashing chaos upon the world.

Enough of the Yeti
Revisado: 01-30-25
"Spoilers"
In general I love this series, the setting is awesome, but I am really getting tired of the Yeti... why drag him out like this, just finish it already and have them encounter something new. the insanely long fights with the Yeti is just getting tiresome, and the fact that he still survives after using the entire book hunting for him and fighting him with the advantages they had, just feels like a never ending frustration that is starting to ruin the series for me.

Historia
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

Oh, my god...
Revisado: 11-28-24
Throughout the whole book you hear how smart the MC is, and yet, the utter stupidity she exhibit time and time again, never seeking answers to questions or even asking them. Again and again she comes to conclusions, no matter how stupid and acts on them with all the drama, never listening to anyone before lashing out. And then when she is finally told the truth she makes all the wrong conclusions immediately accusing them of not trusting her before when she again and again and again proves why she cannot be trusted, why telling her would be an impossible risk to take. Listening to the MC'internal reasoning is an exercise in patience and frustration so complete I was shouting at my phone while listening to it. Her idiotic, I can't trust him thing she has going is just insanely pathetic, when it has been clear from the beginning she can trust... and of course, in the end, her knowledge is what revealed them.
Now, aside from the frustration and idiocy of the main character, which there are a lot of, the whole setup of the military and the way they approve of candidates killing each other is completely ludicrous. They are short of riders and there are fewer and fewer every year and they are happily letting the students kill each other down to almost 50%. That does not weed out the weak, it creates psychopaths. It does not create unity or soldiers trusting each other, it creates paranoid sociopaths who trust no one and are just as likely to kill their team mates as fighting with them.
It really is a pity, because underneath the frustratingly stupid MC and her issues, and the insane setting of their training, there actually is a good story, but it is hidden well underneath all the bullshit, double morale and idiocy that dominates the book.

How did they survive so long?
Revisado: 11-26-24
The book is pretty good all in all, but there are some major issues.
The author seems so preoccupied with showing the growth and developing his main character that he completely forget how the world held together for so long without him. as an example, the fade with only a few soldiers would have taken a city that has been standing against the empire for 400 years. No one is even able to threaten it apart from the main character... by all accounts it would make the history of the city impossible. As a reader things like this is frustrating because you realize that all other characters are there simply to groom the main character, and only he can in the end fight all the enemies, even though those around him are portrayed as stronger. They are just there to die at the right rime in an effort to create emotional growth for the MC. There are ways of doing that without making the entire history of the world unbelievable though.

Decent
Revisado: 11-23-24
Overall, a decent book. I have read better and I have read plenty that are worse. Somewhat simplistic plot, especially considering the depth and potential of the character and the Adepta Sororita as a whole, I was kinda hoping for more. as I said though, a decent book and a must for any Battlesisters player or fan.

Warfare below the streets, backstabbing, and brutality. Kabutt is out. Out of the army, out of patience, and out of control. He's found a home, people to fight for, and once again, the city seems determined to screw that up for him. He's got backstabbing elves trying to rip him off, corpos forcing him and his team into unsanctioned deathmatches for live broadcasts, and of course, the usual skulduggery, not to mention more goddamn goblins.

fairly good story but...
Revisado: 09-06-24
common... seriously, the uncontrollable fury would have him out on his ass after one incident. he is a bigger danger to his fellow soldiers and there is no way any military organisation would keep him in the ranks along with others... also sometimes the way it manifests is rather dumb tbh, and not worthy of a super elite cadet... I ended up with very little sympathy for the MC, and actually feel the series would have been better if it was about his brother...

And for another, he can fly.

Revisado: 09-06-24
on one hand the story is interesting, but I find that the attitude of the MC is rather annoying at times. The whole book he is running away from perceived followers, when in reality there are none, he trays everyone who helps him rather poorly and his only idea is to run away every time because of another perceived crime. I find it somewhat unlikely that a 10 year old boy with no memory would turn down all chances to go to the mage academy and would rather live on the street rather than sign an agreement with a noble house... there are just a lot of things rubbing me the wrong way in the storyline and although i probably will continue with the next book, I would not with any confidence say that I will continue further than that

Still love it, but...
Revisado: 08-24-24
The stats are becoming too much, and to such an extent that it is starting to ruin the story... it seems the author takes every chance he can get to list up all the stats of a character, breaking up the progression of the story. when it was just the main characters it was getting annoying, but with the added random characters and high tankers added it is just too much... WAY too much... with that removed, the book would have been awesome.
