Fix the narrator

Every holocaust story is important, but I can’t believe the narration passed anyone’s approval.

Historia
Seven years after the death of his mother, Malka, Stanley A. Goldman traveled to Israel to visit her best friend during the Holocaust. The best friend's daughter showed Goldman a pamphlet she had acquired from the Israeli Holocaust Museum that documented activities of one man's negotiations with the Nazi's interior minister and SS head, Heinrich Himmler, for the release of the Jewish women from the concentration camp at Ravensbrück. While looking through the pamphlet, the two discovered a picture that could have been their mothers being released from the camp.

Always remember
Revisado: 01-13-24
Beautifully written, factual, a son’s love for his mother who endured the worlds worst crimes to human kind is displayed for generations to come. Stanley’s narration of his own book gave it even more depth. I do hope that my grandchildren’s children and so onread this and all survivors/family accounts. Lest it never be forgotten

Historia
Swept up as a child in the events of Nazi-era Europe, Ruth Kluger saw her family's comfortable Vienna existence systematically undermined and destroyed. By age 11, she had been deported, along with her mother, to Theresienstadt, the first in a series of concentration camps that would become the setting for her precarious childhood. Interwoven with blunt, unsparing observations of childhood and nuanced reflections of an adult who has spent a lifetime thinking about the Holocaust, Still Alive rejects all easy assumptions about history, both political and personal.

More than I expected
Revisado: 12-15-23
Holocaust survivor stories are so important to every generation to come. Though I love them all this one though I will listen to many times over. I was at first not thrilled with the narrator but… listen on and she captures Ruth so well. When I say I love them all as in Ruth’s story I’ve grown to learn the importance of of how they struggled, how they lost, fought and most importantly how they carried on to show and teach the world what 79 years later come January 27, 2024 on Remembrance Day that they will never be erased from this world or our memories as long as we pass their stories of their lives on to the future generations.

Historia
Rosie was always told her red hair was a curse, but she never believed it. She often dreamed what it would look like under a white veil with the man of her dreams by her side. However, her life takes a harrowing turn in 1944 when she is forced out of her home and sent to the most gruesome of places: Auschwitz. Upon arrival, Rosie’s head is shaved and along with the loss of her beautiful hair, she loses the life she once cherished.

Always pass their stories along for generations
Revisado: 11-18-23
Every survivors story I listen to reminds me to listen with my mind and my heart and pass along to who ever will listen/read and then do the same.
Holocaust survivors may not realize it be they are the strongest of people as are those that did not survive. Their horrors no one should ever have to endure. I will never forget nor will I let my children, grandchildren and on.
