Lots of holes in the narrative
Revisado: 08-29-24
I only listen to it all the way through to see if what I believe to be the motivation of the characters turned out to be true. There are lots of holes and inconsistencies in the storyline as the author needed to do that.

Good story but too much focus on religion
Revisado: 12-19-21
I enjoyed the WWII storyline but found the insertion of the religious aspect off-putting. I likely wouldn’t have purchased it if I’d realized this focus.

Poignant story with excellent storytelling
Revisado: 04-22-20
Beth combines Tess’ actual story with the harsh reality of the opioid epidemic in a moving way. It is story-telling at its greatest to touch the masses.
