I am a sucker for meerkats. So is the main female character in this book but unfortunately for her life took a turn. Most of us hate our jobs and would love to get abducted by aliens, and then there's Dorothy. The interactions between her and Toto, as well as the interactions between her and her two mates, will have you holding your stomach from laughing so hard. I now I want to be abducted by aliens.

The Chemistry!!!

I loved each minute of this story. The nickname was elite. The chemistry they had and the live they shared was chef's kiss. No spoilers here. 10/10 highly recommend!

Loved the Suspense

Not knowing if they are friend or foe but being attracted to them is not for the faint of heart. The love story that was lying under it all had me on edge.

Damn!!!

Darius could have picked a better shellan. That is all. Every emotion imaginable has been felt through out the entirety of this novel. I always expect a torrent of emotions with anything that is written by this author, and she never fails to tap in to each emotion with her right and with the way she allows you to connect to the characters. I have loved this character since book #1 dark lover. I have been chopping at the bit To get to this point and the series and I am glad that I waited. I have tried the ugly but it was worth it.

All the feels

As a married woman who has had her share of ups and downs and marriage this was an amazing listen. Aspects of realistic relationship issues were very present as well as the possibility of no HEA. It's also nice to see how certain aspects of life affect both parties I laughed and I cried.

Very Interesting Turn of Events

I love how the characters each come with their own individual baggage as most people do. It was not a let me fix you relationship but we have to fix us. But mannnnnnn, when her daddy came through. I will not spoil it but it made the tension in the novel increase and created an element of conflict that I did not see coming.

I do have a question regarding Nikki Strickland......is she the same Nikki from another novel that I read that involved Damon and a beautiful woman named Monique by another author? It looks like a collab but I cannot be sure.....I will find out when I read the next novel.

Ms. House, keep up all the work. My yoni has never been more excited.
