This was one of the better books I've listened to. I listen to aLOT of murder mysteries and this was interesting and kept you just one step away from figuring out where it was going. Good one!

Great Will Tent story that kept my interest
Revisado: 04-02-25
I liked the book overall but some of the scenes were so real that they disturbed me for a few days after reading them. Other than that i enjoyed the book, interesting plot and good characters, flaws and all.

I liked the book overall, good characters and fun hearing the story from multiple viewpoints. It was a different formula from the usual murder mysteries and I liked it!

Historia
Simone used to be the woman that other women would use if they suspected that their partner was cheating. She would investigate, find out the truth, and if the men were guilty, exact revenge. But after things went wrong with one couple, Simone was forced to go into hiding. Simone is now Mary, a mild-mannered woman who doesn't raise her voice or get angry, meaning nobody would suspect her of being capable of the things she used to do for a living. But when she finds out that her new boyfriend is having an affair, it awakens in her the person she used to be.

not one of the better books I have listened to

This was an ok plot but the author over explained everything. There was no suspense. The narrator was ok as well and could only do what the story allowed.

too much victim for me.
Revisado: 02-26-25
what I was hoping would be an intriguing psychological Thriller ended up just irritating me to the point that I had to stop the book before I even finished it. the main character was far too much of victim, too weak, and saying things that I would literally blur out 'why would you do that?!' to myself while listening. possible it's just a personality thing with me someone else may enjoy the book thoroughly but it was definitely not something I enjoyed.

I enjoyed all of the different stories building and changing as they grew. The characters were more than surface people as the book went along. The main story kept a good pace and kept you wondering exactly what was going to happen.

It was a good story that kept a good pace. There wasn't a lot of action but that's not necessarily bad. The ending was a little open ended, I guess leading to another book?
