Historia
Dish up the red meat, eggs, and whole milk! In this well-researched and captivating narrative, veteran food writer Nina Teicholz proves how everything we've been told about fat is wrong. For decades, Americans have cut back on red meat and dairy products full of "bad" saturated fats. We obediently complied with nutritional guidelines to eat "heart healthy" fats found in olive oil, fish, and nuts, and followed a Mediterranean diet heavy on fruits, vegetables, and grains. Yet the nation's health has declined. What is going on?

Revisado: 10-05-24
If this book doesn't make you mad, you may not be human. The arguments that she puts forth in this book can not be ignored. For at least six decades, we, the American people, have been duped into thinking that what we have eaten for hundreds of years was somehow someway now more detrimental to us than ever thought possible. I want to go to Congress, LOL. Somebody should pay for the atrocities that have been committed in our society by the Food and Drug Administration, American Heart Association, the USDA and any other entities with letters for names that had any knowledge of what a proper human diet was and chose to suppress it. In general, this book points the way back to our original diet and back to our original health.

Revisado: 05-06-21
as a Neville student I automatically like the message of Florence Scovel Shinn. it is a very well written work and is very thought out. the person that's Florence school will send was is greatly seen within her work. this book should be shared with all very very small children to very old people. no one should be excluded. however I did not care for Mr Valentine's rendition of various people within the story. he takes on a stereotypical view of the people described. to which this thing may work in children's books very well it works such as this should not be sullied with a broad generalization that borders on racism. the book is great but I would stay away from Mr Valentine's reading of them.

White Fragility

Historia
In this “vital, necessary, and beautiful book” (Michael Eric Dyson), antiracist educator Robin DiAngelo deftly illuminates the phenomenon of white fragility and “allows us to understand racism as a practice not restricted to 'bad people'" (Claudia Rankine). Referring to the defensive moves white people make when challenged racially, white fragility is characterized by emotions such as anger, fear, and guilt and by behaviors including argumentation and silence. These behaviors, in turn, function to reinstate white racial equilibrium and prevent meaningful cross-racial dialogue.

Revisado: 06-08-20
if you are a human being with red blood in your veins odds are you need to read this book as if your life depends on it because in fact it does. with the crisis of George Floyd all the way back to George Washington this book is a necessity. it is a beacon in the landscape of a dilemma that is little talked about. I feel that this is where the cure starts. This book is the moldy bread that penicillin was made from. this is not an easy listen as it would challenges all of your viewpoints and all of your comforts as far as your race, no matter what that race is. this is about a construct. This book is about an institution in which people who are not white are thought not to look at, think, not talk about white fragility.

Historia
When Nancy Friday began her research for My Mother/My Self in the early 1970s no work existed that explored the unique interaction between mother and daughter. Today psychotherapists throughout the world acknowledge that if women are to be able to love without possessing, to find work that fulfills them, and to discover their full sexuality, they must first acknowledge their identity as separate from their mother’s. Nancy Friday’s book played a major role in that acceptance.

As a man, when you decide that you want to express your romantic or sexual desires, interests, and intentions to a woman, how do you go about communicating those desires and interests to her? Do you communicate your desires and interests to women in a cautious, vague, ambiguous, or "beat around the bush" manner? Do you avoid approaching women and avoid initiating conversations with women altogether?

moooooodde oooooooonnnnee
Revisado: 05-14-20
I feel like this book was the shoestring that tied everything together. I've read a lot of dating books over the years. I started out with books such as how to succeed in dating and Neil Strauss' the game. Reading such books we're nice and changed my thinking about what was actually possible however it did not increase my prowess as a man on the face of the Earth. So I feel like this book, coming at the end of various books, helpful ones such as Robert Glover's no more mr. nice guy and David deida's the way of the superior man, help to solidify all that I had learned in subsequent books even going back to my 20s. I feel confident now that I don't have to play the game anymore waste time waste money and catch feelings for women that are not primed to my frequency. I know that it doesn't differ much but the only critique that I have for this book is; I wish you would have said more about the polyamorous community and how a married polyamorous man could apply this tactic in that specific situation. All that aside, this book is worth the price if you only listen to chapter 9 which is really chapter 8. Alan Rodger Currie, if you happen to glance over this, I would like to say, I love you man. This information is the type of information that boys all over the world need to hear. This is truly what separates the men from the boys. You came up with this concept when I was 2 years old and had my father told it to me, I would not have had the problems I had in middle school and high school, in college, and out of college. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will go on to grab every book that you put on audible because I feel like you have something to say. I feel like you as opposed to all the other dating gurus are not just talkin theory and that there's an air of Truth in all that you say. I can't wait until I can actually apply this in the real world and I can't wait to read the next book which I've already purchased on audible, oooooh say it again. Words really don't express my gratitude and I hope that wherever you are and whatever you're doing, that there are many blessings that are on your plate, that are in your way, and that whatever you want relentlessly pursues you. Blessings

A bit of a bait-and-switch but worth it!
Revisado: 02-12-20
I absolutely loved this book. this is my second time listening to it and I'm sure it's not my last. one of the most memorable parts of this book is what's said in the first chapter or so. it stated in the book, "one day you will die and no one left after you will care about what you did here". this sounds terrible and morbid, however this was one of the most freeing things I've ever heard concerning pick up. so what, I feel like I feel when seeing someone who I find attractive. if I stay with this feeling then I won't get what I want. being able to look at it in a way that says you don't have long to live and you definitely don't have time to waste pining over someone who wasn't interested in you. this statement was very powerful and I love the author for stating it so bluntly. this I feel is a book that is needed for every single man on the face of the planet. with all the pick-up techniques out there, pick up lines and pua, men just have no idea of what to do. there's so many different techniques and schools of thought when it comes to the art of pick up but I think this approach, being a grounded man, is the best. I'm really happy that he chose to make the case for the direct approach. I've been on the fence as to whether this was a good way of going about approaching someone who you are interested in. being a bigger guy I didn't know if that will come across too forward. while I don't agree with sacrificing the goat I understand it's tactic, understand its use, and I understand the need for it. I think I'd rather warm up in more wholesome ways. nevertheless the idea is that you have to get the juices flowing. as for the bait and switch. the book is about pick up artistry however this book is more about the type of man you are and need to be to attract the women you want. this is not a Band-Aid. it's more like a cure. being a more developed man has the potential to change your life. you can get sex from an attractive woman and it wouldn't do anything but this book allows you to take a hard look at yourself to see if there's anything you can do for yourself that will make you more interesting more appealing and more desirous amongst all people. this book is definitely a game-changer. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to trying out the things I learned.

great book, however!
Revisado: 12-28-19
first let me start by saying this book is a very insightful look into the world of dating from the perspective of women. I think that if most women read books like this the dating scene would be a lot easier for everyone involved. the information was insightful witty and comical at times but I feel that only enhances the education there in. As for the however. I expected for this book to be more of a look at the game of desire from a more general standpoint. meaning I expected for it not to be so gender-specific. some of the tactics will definitely work for men but most of them will not. I don't think a guy turning his body into an s shape looks seductive to a woman. that said this was an awesome read and I believe I will be passing it along to very many women I know with dating troubles. if you happen to be a woman reading this review please don't hesitate to buy this book. had I had a vagina I probably would have given this book five stars. Shan Boody (Brady now) is one of my favorite producers now and I'll be looking forward to seeing new YouTube content as well as reading her first book and many others that she produces in the future.

what a roller coaster
Revisado: 12-06-19
this book was a rollercoaster of a ride thanks. at times there are points where it's mixed in with fantasy or is it? part of the intrigue of this book is that you don't know. some of it seems real some of it seems fiction. there are a lot of metaphors. much to try to make sense of and much with no sense whatsoever. this book seems like a dream and a nightmare and it also seems to teeter on the line between fiction and nonfiction. this book is very graphic but not a put off as far as I'm concerned. it has a type of poetic sting to it. I don't know if I could recommend this book to everyone because of the content but it's definitely an interesting read.
