Feel like I bought half a book
Revisado: 09-16-20
I normally love JB’s work, and this book is no exception. But; it is short, and doesn’t wrap up any plot lines. It’s just part 1 of a future book.

Historia
In the wake of a devastating attack, an amnesty has been declared for all Augurs - finally allowing them to emerge from hiding and openly oppose the dark forces massing against the land of Andarra. As the Augur Davian and his new allies hurry north toward the ever-weakening Boundary, however, fresh horrors along their path suggest that their reprieve may have come far too late. His ally in the Capital, the new Northwarden, contends with assassins and politicians and uncovers a dangerous political secret.

Good story to start...
Revisado: 08-27-18
The present-day story is great. Unfortunately if keeps getting interpreted by these trite, omnipotent characters that totally kill the flow of the actual story.

Historia
It has been 20 years since the end of the war. The dictatorial Augurs, once thought of almost as gods, were overthrown and wiped out during the conflict, their much-feared powers mysteriously failing them. Those who had ruled under them, men and women with a lesser ability known as the Gift, avoided the Augurs' fate only by submitting themselves to the rebellion's Four Tenets.

An erotic glimpse into a world of sexy exploration
Revisado: 10-30-17
Mr Beckett gives us a peek into the sensual and emotional rollercoaster of an erotic vacation destination. I loved the very real characters with all their desires and flaws. The full-cast audio really helps define the interactions of players and the detail immerses you in the tropical destination with them.

Didn't feel like it was written by the same author
Revisado: 02-25-16
If you’ve listened to books by Karen Marie Moning before, how does this one compare?
Horrible voice talent. and I use the word talent very loosely.
What didn’t you like about Luke Daniels and Jill Redfield ’s performance?
Voice actors sounded pale and shallow. At times overacting other times flat.
Was Feverborn worth the listening time?
No. I should have read the book to enjoy the story more. Even though I thought the story was more mommy-porn and Harlequin romance than urban fantasy.
Any additional comments?
I like the sexual overtones of the books, but the descriptive in-your-face sex really detracts from the scenes.

Historia
The Skull Throne of Krasia stands empty. Built from the skulls of fallen generals and demon princes, it is a seat of honor and ancient, powerful magic, keeping the demon corelings at bay. From atop the throne, Ahmann Jardir was meant to conquer the known world, forging its isolated peoples into a unified army to rise up and end the demon war once and for all. But Arlen Bales, the Warded Man, stood against this course, challenging Jardir to a duel he could not in honor refuse.

No sense of balance, too many similar names
Revisado: 05-23-15
Would you try another book from Peter V. Brett and/or Pete Bradbury?
I finally gave up 3/4 of the way through this one. Probably won't buy the final book.
Would you ever listen to anything by Peter V. Brett again?
Maybe, but i'll read the reviews before plunking down more money.
What three words best describe Pete Bradbury’s voice?
pretty good reading
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The world-building is superb. It's too bad the major opponents are too one-sided to be entertaining.
Any additional comments?
He simply created too many advantages for one side in the struggle here. Totally losing any attachment for me. Maybe his plans are for a rebalancing later, but too little too late.
