Historia
The last thing archaeologist Zoey Kincaid needs is a 25-year-old letter carrying a message of doom. The letter, from her deceased mother, describes a dire set of occurrences on the banks of the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia. Unbeknownst to Zoey, her mother belonged to a select group of foretellers: people affected by tainted water who could see beyond normal timelines. Forced to dust the cobwebs from her own shadowy past, Zoey uncovers crimes, deception, and buried family secrets.

Paranormal Mystery with a twist!!!!
Revisado: 08-03-15
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I will recommend this book to friends. I know they will be as entertained as I was and I will definitely listen again. There were so many different sub plots happening in this book that I know a second read will be even better than the first now that I know the ending.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Zoey was my favorite character. I found her a very strong clever young woman who was dealing with a difficult situation without needing anyone to lean on.
What three words best describe Laura Jennings’s voice?
I really liked Laura Jennings voices for the different characters however she did tend to put the inflection in the wrong places which I found quite jarring.
Any additional comments?
I was gifted this book by the author using AudioBlast for an unbiased review. I really enjoyed this book and for once I did not have the ending figured out. I was totally surprised at the end of the story.
If it wasn't bad enough that Zoey has received a letter from a mother who died 25 years ago fortelling her death, she also has a stalker and the man who raped her mother is after her as well. With all of that going on her fiancé starts acting strange.
Zoey needs to solve the mystery of the letter from her mother, figure out what is wrong with her fiancé, escape from the rapist before the future her mother predicted comes true.
It all comes together at the end of the story with a suprising twist that you will not see coming.
I will be looking into other books by Anne McAneny.

Excellent story line with a twist
Revisado: 07-27-15
Hard to imagine how a telepath of Kai's ability could have survived in NYC for any length of time but with Oliver's help she did.
When Kai's emotions start spinning out of control Oliver kidnaps Kai and takes her to his hometown of Butternut, Wisconsin. Now the real story begins. There are secrets in this small town that threaten to destroy everything. Oliver and Kai need to solve the mysteries before it is too late.
Christa Lewis brought all the characters to life and I really enjoyed her reading of this book.
Overall I really enjoyed the story of Kai and Oliver. I was however a little disappointed with the ending. Even though this is a series and the story will continue we were left with too many unanswered questions.

Keeps you intrigued from start to finish
Revisado: 07-13-15
This story starts with Camille's mother dying leaving her mourning and alone with the name of a father she has never met. The only family Cami has ever had is her mother and she feels very alone. Cami really wants to know about her father but is hesitant to call him. The author Nancy Straight really managed to convey how difficult the decision to call and the actual call would be.
My attention was caught from the first chapter and as the story builds with Cami meeting her father his wife and five brothers I found I could not put it down. There seems to be something different about all of them.
There is a lot of mystery about Cami's birth. Why did her mother never reveal her father's name? What is the story behind the items found in a box in her mother's room. How can her step mother accept her so completey and what does she know that she won't reveal to Cami.
Cami starts to learn about her roots which go back to a Centaur touched by Zeus, meets Drake and is instantly attracted to him although he is engaged. Discovers she has a grandmother who is unstable and through it all is trying to understand the rules that govern her new existence.
There are many unanswered questions at the end of this book and I know I am going to listen to the complete series.
I do have to applaud the narrator Teri Schnaubelt for an exellent job with all voices and making the story flow. An audio book can be made or destroyed by the narrator and Teri created voices for all the characters that were instantly recognizable.
Highly recommend this series to anyone that likes paranormal romance and mystery.

Would you listen to Dead, Sometimes again? Why?
I have not read the first book in this series. I was given this book by the narrator Steven Jay Cohen through Audiobook Blast for an honest review. It is a standalone book that can be listened to and enjoyed even if you have not read the first book. I am however planning on listening to the first book now and I will listen to this one again.
Steven did an spectacular job reading this book. He had separate voices for each of the characters and the womens voices were believable.
Dead, Sometimes starts with a bang as Chloe has died and then suddenly sits up again. You are hooked and have to find out how this happened.
Jason Callahan and Trina Dane arrive in Florida to investigate and quickly bond with Chloe. They are not going to leave her until they find out how this has happened. As Chloe starts exhibiting special powers as well as the ability to come back from the dead Jason and Trina realize Chloe has far more going on.
I was entertained from the beginning of the book and couldn't put it down.

Any additional comments?
I listened to this book in a single day and really enjoyed it. It reminded me of Peyton Place that I read about thirty years ago and still vividly remember. I really enjoyed the fact the plot centered around a whole town instead of one or two people. This could have made a difficult read trying to keep all the people straight but Andreas Lyon was able to acheive different voices for all the characters making the Secrets of Slaters Falls an easy listen. There are however a number of unanswered questions that I truely hope will be answered in a sequel. I would highly recommend this book. It is a very interesting glimpse into life in a small town.
I was given this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and or narrator in exhange for an unbiased review via AudiobookBlast. I would like to add that I have added books by this author and narrator to my wish list.

Fast paced suspence Southern Style.
Revisado: 07-07-15
If you could sum up Kudzu in three words, what would they be?
Mystery, Time Travel and Romance set in a small southern town. A divorced Casey has returned home broke to live in her Granny Weesie's tiny cabin. She finds her Granny's diary and as she reads it she is transported back to when Weezie was a teen. As she reads it we learn what it was like to live in a small town in Georgia in the late nineteenth century. I am always facinated by stories set in small southern towns during this time period. The author Kathleen Wells does an impressive job of showing both the hardships and the way people worked together to make the most of what they had. It appears Weesie is trying to tell her something and it has to do with her early life. The other part of the story revolves around the same small town today. Many of the people are decendants of the folks Casey is meeting in the 1880's. The book does an excellent job of transporting us to life in a place where there are no secrets and everyone knows what you are doing almost before you have done it. There are lots of great local characters who seem to have the ability to "see" the future. Meanwhile Casey is fighting for her life as many strange accidents start happening. She is alone except for the new neighbor who is the only person she can count on.This book is a page turner and keeps building up the suspense until the end. I would highly recommend it.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Lee Ann Howlett?
I have not listened to other books narrated by Lee Ann Howlett. The male voices were not great in my opinion. The story itself was so captivating that I easily continued listening to it.
Any additional comments?

Good Story with lots of twists and surprises!
Revisado: 07-06-15
What did you like best about this story?
Great story although I am not certain about the age difference between Rebecca and Alec. She was very young and it made me uncomfortable at the start of the story but as it progressed I understood the reason behind that.I did appreciate the plot did not depend on multiple sex scenes. I am tired of authors relying on that instead of an actual story. With Cut and Run we actually get a complex storyline including a few surprises that I didn't see coming.I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good romance novel with mystery and suspense.
Have you listened to any of Holly Adams’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have not listened to any of Holly Adam's other performances but will be looking for more books from her. She did an excellent job creating different voices and making it easy to follow along knowing who was speaking at all times.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I would have listened to this book in one sitting but I started late at night and had to finish it the following day. I will be checking out the rest of the books in this series.

I have never read any books by Jonnie Jacobs but will be reading more from this author. I have already checked out the rest of her books available on Audible.
This was one of the best audiobooks I've listened to in quite awhile.
The plot had so many twist and turns that you could not stop listening and unlike a lot of mystery books the end was a complete suprise to me.
As we all know a narrator can make or break the story and George Kuch did not disappoint. The narration was excellent.
I highly recommend this book!
