A book for everyone...
Revisado: 04-09-19
John Joseph speaks the truth and does it with great passion. Having been a fan of his for decades, I can honestly say that of all his projects, The PMA Effect earns my highest level of respect .
Although it is difficult to agree or comply with everything he suggests, one cannot deny the value of his decision to include some of his daily practices. The main idea is to get the reader to reevaluate his/her life and make the important changes necessary to get on the path not only to do the least harm, but accomplish the most good.
This is not easy. Analyzing your beliefs is one thing, but following through with his guidance is a goal worth pursuing. From breathing to dying, John Joseph covers it all... And he is a man who Has the right to offer advice, as he has suffered through some horrific times, yet sorted through his problems to emerge strong and victorious.
Even if you don't agree that everything he says suits your lifestyle, you can agree that his lifestyle is carefully calculated to generate positivity that ripples throughout society. Although it may require hard work and dedication, there is nothing about his ideas that are unachievable for any person, but it is certainly worth the effort.
No matter where you on in life, this book will not only educate, but entertain as well. John Joseph is a genuine character. I have met him around NYC and he talks the talk and walks the walk. I am grateful for his work.

Historia
About 60,000 years ago, the first Homo sapiens were just beginning their move across the grasslands and up the ladder of civilization. Everything since then, as they say, is history. Just in case you were sleeping in class that day, the geniuses at mental_floss magazine have put together a hilarious (and historically accurate) primer on everything you need to know---and that means the good stuff.

This was just great!
Revisado: 06-03-09
Some people are very critical and demanding of their entertainment. Perhaps I am not, or maybe this book really was great!
I love the delivery of the narrator and his sarcasm.
Who knows how accurate the historical estimations are? All I know is that it is more than I know, or had the time to research.
It was purely for mental enjoyment and entertainment. If it was all true, then I am smarter then when I first pushed play. If not, then my friends at parties now think I am an idiot for all of the tid-bits I have spewed! Either way, I'm happy with the audiobook!

Very uplifting!
Revisado: 02-20-09
The information presented in this book consists of very simple, common sense practices. Together they serve to help demonstrate politeness and empathy.
The stories supporting the principles are outdated but applicable with imagination. The narrator is entertaining and perfectly appropriate for the time.
If implemented, the ideas expressed in this text will help the reader become a better person without doubt, simply by being kind and considerate. You can consider the approach manipulative if you innately maintain that behavior. Generally speaking, hopefully most people do not.

Misconceptions, misunderstandings, and flawed facts finally get the heave-ho in this humorous, downright humiliating book of reeducation based on the phenomenal British best seller. Challenging what most of us assume to be verifiable truths in areas like history, literature, science, nature, and more, The Book of General Ignorance is a witty “gotcha” compendium of how little we actually know about anything. It’ll have you scratching your head wondering why we even bother to go to school.

Interesting.
Revisado: 12-07-08
This book is very interesting. The ideas, though disorganized, were all joined together, one after the other, by a humorus commonality. It was good for me to stop and start again without worrying about where I left off because the topics jump quite rapidly. It is a cyclone of facts (hopefully) that kept me hanging on.
I enjoyed learning the obscure facts very much. This gives me something to inject into a conversation no matter what subject is brought up.
This book is generally great entertainment. There is so much information that is just too hard to stick. Perhaps I will listen to it again.
