Historia
It has been 20 years since the end of the war. The dictatorial Augurs, once thought of almost as gods, were overthrown and wiped out during the conflict, their much-feared powers mysteriously failing them. Those who had ruled under them, men and women with a lesser ability known as the Gift, avoided the Augurs' fate only by submitting themselves to the rebellion's Four Tenets.

Historia
Steve O'Dell loves to write, and does it well. But as an eighth-grade student at Needham Middle School, his talent sometimes seems more an embarrassment than a blessing. Then, on Veterans Day 2001, Steve’s award-winning essay propels him into an adventure twisting through Revolutionary battles and bloodshed. Thanks to the bizarre bequest of a manuscript and a musket ball from a long-lost family war hero, Steve’s journey with the Revolutionary War hero Dr. Joseph Warren begins.

Outstanding book
Revisado: 02-06-23
I love this book and the way it tells Dr. Warren's inspiring story. it recounts the events in the revelationary war, while sharing it through the perspective of a relatable character, which connects young readers to these historical events. as a strong believer in the power of patriotism and a 2nd place winner in the Saving Dr. Warren essay contest put on by the author, I can say that this book inspired patriotism in me and it can do the same for you!
