Hilarious
Revisado: 11-16-24
Incredibly funny and well written! I cringed a bit at how often the fmc’s “massive boobs” were mentioned but other than that a truly sweet and silly story

Historia
An ultimatum from Summer Preston’s thesis advisor thrusts her into an unexpected collision with the hockey team’s captain, Aiden Crawford. She’s caught between conflicting desires of fulfilling her lifelong dream of becoming a sport psychologist and staying as far away as possible from the god-awful sport. Boring
Revisado: 07-17-24
The plot of this book basically wraps up 30% of the way through. I did finish the whole thing hoping for it to pick up and get better. The FMC was so fickle it drove me insane.

Historia
After my ex crushed my dreams in the music industry, I’m done with getting my heart broken. Working as an assistant for an NHL player was supposed to be a breeze, but nothing about Jamie Streicher is easy. He’s an intimidatingly hot, grouchy jerk who can't stand me. The guy has a massive ego. Keeping things professional will be no problem, even when he demands I move in with him.

The main characters are boring
Revisado: 01-02-24
Jamie is such a cliche grumpy guy and pippa is a pitiful spineless woman. The plot feels so rushed.

Paint your toes. Pick up the wrong coffee and bagel order. Drive from Brooklyn to Jersey in traffic so slow you want to tear your hair out. It’s amazing all the useless things I can accomplish while on hold for three hours with customer service. Three hours when I should be getting the Date-in-a-Box website ready to launch at the big business expo in a few days. Except my shiny new website is glitching, and my inner rage-monster is ready to scorch some earth...when he finally picks up. Not the robot voice I expected but a real live human named Kal.

Get to the point
Revisado: 09-16-23
Story drags on and so many lines are so cringey. Listening to this there were many times I said out loud “no one talks like that!” Or “oh my god get to the point!!”
