Historia
In the year 2045, reality is an ugly place. The only time Wade Watts really feels alive is when he’s jacked into the OASIS, a vast virtual world where most of humanity spends their days. When the eccentric creator of the OASIS dies, he leaves behind a series of fiendish puzzles, based on his obsession with the pop culture of decades past. Whoever is first to solve them will inherit his vast fortune—and control of the OASIS itself.

Brought the world to life
Revisado: 02-23-24
I already knew the story but the book brought it all to life. The narrator did an excellent job.

Historia
Carolyn's not so different from the other human beings around her. After all, she was a normal American herself once. That was a long time ago, of course - before the time she calls "adoption day", when she and a dozen other children found themselves being raised by a man they learned to call Father.

Outstanding
Revisado: 05-24-23
For lack of a better word. The story is incredible both literally and figuratively. The characters are well developed. The plot is very engaging and twisty in a way neither cheeses more predictable. Love it.
As for audio, the narrator was EXCELLENT.

Brilliant
Revisado: 05-14-23
Definitely opened my eyes as to why we, in our domestic and international politic, behave and have comported ourselves militarily.

Historia
Leading experts from business and academia consider coffee's history, global spread, cultivation, preparation, marketing, and the environmental and social issues surrounding it today. They discuss, for example, the impact of globalization; the many definitions of organic, direct trade, and fair trade; the health of female farmers; the relationships among shade, birds, and coffee; roasting as an art and a science; and where profits are made in the commodity chain.

Wey detailed
Revisado: 03-06-23
This book definitely went into a level of detail I wasn’t prepared for beforehand but what a pleasant and welcome surprise. The authors were very thorough technically and even pyschosocially when portraying both individuals’ and groups’ experiences.

Historia
Known for its lively, clear prose as well as its scholarly research, Zinn's A People's History is the only volume to tell America's story from the point of view of, and in the words of, its women, factory workers, African Americans, Native Americans, working poor, and immigrant laborers. Here we learn that many of our country's greatest battles (labor laws, women's rights, racial equality) were carried out at the grassroots level, against bloody resistance.

Indelible story of America
Revisado: 01-13-23
Written and described from a completely different perspective. I would almost expect this to be an alternative history class text at universities. Salute to the author Howard Zinn, and to Matt Damon for his (albeit small but significant) contribution
