Historia
While human lives are endlessly variable, our most memorable positive moments are dominated by four elements: elevation, insight, pride, and connection. If we embrace these elements, we can conjure more moments that matter. What if a teacher could design a lesson that he knew his students would remember 20 years later? What if a manager knew how to create an experience that would delight customers? What if you had a better sense of how to create memories that matter for your children?

This was a great book, I will listen again
Revisado: 12-17-19
This book has a lot of information to remind us to remember the moments in life. Much of what I heard was not earth-shattering but was a reminder of how to make impressions. It was well-read and I enjoyed the book very much.

Historia
An instant New York Times best seller, Dan Lyons' "hysterical" (Recode) memoir, hailed by the Los Angeles Times as "the best book about Silicon Valley," takes listeners inside the maddening world of fad-chasing venture capitalists, sales bros, social climbers, and sociopaths at today's tech startups. For 25 years Dan Lyons was a magazine writer at the top of his profession - until one Friday morning when he received a phone call: Poof. His job no longer existed. "I think they just want to hire younger people," his boss at Newsweek told him.

Witty, scary, and a lot of fun
Revisado: 01-21-19
I listened to this book thinking it would just be amusing after reading the web articles regarding the same. I also am old, and work for a start up tech company. This book is scary, funny, and rings with a lot of truth - I'm really glad the company I work for values us old people! But man some of the things Dan talks about are so funny. They way Dan uses the word "Awesome" make me laugh until I cried. I don't think I can ever say the word again with a straight face.
Thanks for the laughs, and in the end the scares, and the awareness check.

Historia
So how do you build a company that matters? Companies and people that matter have successfully become the obvious choices in the hearts and minds of their customers, their employees, and their communities. They elevate themselves by consistently finding ways to solve the most pressing needs their markets face. The result? They create more value year after year and build sustainable, differentiated organizations.

From the time we learn to speak, we're told that if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. When you become a manager, it’s your job to say it--and your obligation. Author Kim Scott was an executive at Google and then at Apple, where she developed a class on how to be a good boss. She has earned growing fame in recent years with her vital new approach to effective management, Radical Candor. Radical Candor is a simple idea: to be a good boss, you have to Care Personally at the same time that you Challenge Directly.
