Falcon’s Kiss is a really good fantasy romance. Marya has never wanted to get married, but her parents died and now her brother, the new king, wants her to marry to form an alliance that benefits the kingdom. She wants to do what’s best for the kingdom, so she determines to chose a match that will allow her to keep as much freedom as possible. A marriage of convenience, that’s all she wants. But when she meets Prince Ferrand, a breathtakingly handsome Demi-fae she might get more than she bargained for.

I really liked this audiobook. The narrator is quite good and I enjoyed listening to the story. I liked Marya. She is willful and smart and she’s been blessed with the gift of running. I also liked Prince Ferrand since he was willing to allow Marya freedom and treat her as an equal. The romance between them was lovely and there are some steamy scenes so this is definitely an adult read. Most of the book I rate 4 stars but there’s some development at the end that intrigues me and makes me really want the next book, so I give it 4.5 stars overall. If you enjoy fantasy romance then definitely give this a listen!

I really enjoyed this book! Astri's story continues from the first 2 books, so I would definitely recommend you start at the beginning so you get the whole story! The story picks up right where the previous book leaves off, Jetli is in a coma and Astri is trying to find away to save her. This results in her setting off on a quest to find true dragon’s venom with Jorgen - the hope is to save Jetli and restore Jorgen’s dragon in one go. They face many dangers on the journey but come out on top, and their relationship really heats up. Astri’s heat season is almost upon her and she struggles to control herself. The slow burn romance that started in book 1 has ignited and become quite steamy (warning, there is on-page sex in this book). I had to keep reading to find out if they would succeed in their quest! The ending is heart wrenching, and I need to start the next book right away to find out if things will work out in the end for Astri! She has grown so much since we first met her but I hope her mistakes don’t cost her happiness. I missed the pixies in this book because Jetli was in a coma so they weren’t along for the journey. I listened to Wyvern’s Passion on audible and I continue to enjoy the narrator - she does a completely wonderful job and she really suits the story!

I received a complimentary audiobook and I’m voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This is the second book in the Dragon Force series. It’s pretty good and has some great moments of action and suspense as well as an intriguing twist at the end. It has other moments where not much happens and there’s lots of talking and deliberation. These parts are the reason why I can only rate this 4 out of 5 stars. Overall it’s still a very good read, and I’m very interested to find out what will happen! Can Anira and the Dragon Force band together and defeat Chieftain Pumpoo! I like Anira and I’m happy to see her growing out of her shell. I also really like the baby dragon Rosie! She’s adorable and I would love to meet her! I also want to learn more about Faithum, the mysterious magic that Anira is learning to use. I like the narrator and find her easy to listen to. Overall I recommend this series and I definitely will read the next one to see what happens!

This is the epic conclusion to the Legend of the Gods series! It’s full of action as events lead toward the final battle against the Tsar. Devon and Braidon trek through the forest toward Trola as Alana learns to settle her differences with Enala. In the meantime, Queen Merydith and the Northlanders are determined to put an end to the Tsar’s reign of terror. The characters have grown so much over the last couple books, and they really branch out in this final volume! Braidon starts to come into his own and learns to fend for himself, Alana struggles to reconcile her two selves, and Devon has to decide if he can overcome his sins of the past. You learn more about the past and how the Tsar came to be so evil and as the story progresses all my questions were answered and the sub plots concluded. The end is satisfying but bittersweet, but I won’t say more than that. In amongst the action, there are some deep thoughts on whether war is ever necessary and on the meaning of family which add an extra layer to the story. As usual the world building is excellent and I always enjoy learning more about the land of The Three Nations! Overall this is an excellent read, and I highly recommend it!

I listened to the audiobook version of this book and I loved the narrator! He does an excellent job and he really suited the story!

I really enjoyed Invisible Born! It has a unique premise - Anira is invisible and has been all her life. In a society where twins are forbidden, she is a twin, and the only reason she is alive is because she can’t be seen. Her tribe is sworn to protect the dragons, fearsome beasts that would just as soon kill the dragon tamers. But when she meets a baby dragon who was cast out by her mother, Anira knows her life is going to change forever. I really enjoyed this story for the plot and characters! I really love Anira, she’s strong and feisty and she really grows over the story as she starts to find her place in the world and learns she isn’t just a mistake. As the story progresses it becomes more and more interesting as things are revealed to be not as they seem. But I won’t say more than that... I enjoyed the narration by Kate Marcin. I found her easy to listen to and I like how she portrayed the different characters! All in all this is a solid listen that I definitely recommend!

I really enjoyed Gray Wolf! Corin an Fol watched as his family was murdered by pirates in a raid on their village. Only one of his sisters survived the raid, but she was taken by the pirates. This sets Corin’s life on self destructive path, until he gets an opportunity to join the Wolves, a group of warriors that provide structure and camaraderie to his life. He meets friends and makes enemies, especially of Taskala, the swordmaster of the Wolves. Corin fights in a war and survives bloody battles, all while he works toward his goal of revenge on the man who stole his sister and killed his family.

I really enjoyed the story of Corin, as he grows from a troubled teenager to a strong young warrior. It took me a bit to get into the story, but by 15% or so, I was hooked. I liked the characters and the writing in this story. I think the world building was quite good as well. Since I listened to the audiobook, I didn’t get to see a map of the world (which I don’t actually know of the ebook has, but it’s pretty common for them to have maps), so sometimes I found it difficult to follow along with where Corin was going in the world. I did get a basic idea of the geography from the writing, but I personally really like when books have maps. There isn’t much magic in this book, only brief mentions of sorcery, and I hope that’s something that will be built upon later in the series. J. W. Webb packed a lot into a book that isn’t super long, but it didn’t feel rushed to me. There are some long segments of time that are skipped over, but it was always clear to me that there was a time jump, and I never felt like I was missing important character or plot development.

The narrator of the audiobook was Andrew McDermott and he did a good job. I found his accent took a little while to get used to but it wasn’t difficult for me to understand except when he was saying unfamiliar words like people or place names. His voices for some characters, like the main character Corin, were quite distinct, but I sometimes found the more minor characters voices more difficult to distinguish.

Overall it was a very good performance of a great story and I’m already listening to the 2nd book in the series! I would recommend it to anyone who likes medieval fantasy!
