Excellent development of God’s purpose in each life.
Revisado: 01-13-25
The narration was slow, especially at first. I listened at the next speed. The dialogue between the sisters as young girls was unnecessarily wordy. I had to skip ahead a little. Glad I stayed with the book as most was very enjoyable.

Very dark and graphic
Revisado: 02-03-24
Good narration and story line but too graphic with unnecessary detail. Ending was good resolution. I hope to see more about Balinger, Rathbone and Margaret in the next book.

Abrupt ending
Revisado: 12-16-23
I am sometimes disappointed with the endings although I love Perry’s novels. After anticipating a wonderful romantic reconciliation, I am left hanging with an abrupt hooray. The best part is over in a flash.

Historia
Fourth in the series of Charlotte and Thomas Pitt mysteries, Anne Perry's Resurrection Row explores the dark undercurrents that run through the lives of the idle rich in Victorian England. After a wonderful night at the theatre, Thomas and Charlotte find themselves confronted with a corpse in the driver's seat of a cab. Even more shocking, it is the body of a peer who had been decently buried the week before.

Too much graphic detail of corpses.
Revisado: 11-22-23
I have read all the Thomas Pitt books and typically enjoy them but the graphic detail is sometimes unnecessary as in this one.

Historia
The world is poised for social and political change, but England holds tight to its traditions, classes, and prejudices. When an explosion in London kills two policemen and seriously injures three more, many believe that anarchists are the culprits. But Thomas Pitt, commander of Special Branch, knows the city's radical groups well enough to suspect otherwise: that someone with decidedly more personal motives lit the deadly fuse.

Poor narration. Unrealistic courtroom drama and ending.
Revisado: 09-24-23
Narrator dragged out Pitt’s dialogues and left me confused regarding who was speaking. I was tempted to increase the speed. Courtroom drama was implausible, particularly the ending. Too much handwringing by Pitt throughout the book. Not up to Perry’s standards.

Immensely inspiring. Excellent narration.
Revisado: 08-18-21
One of the most inspiring books of Christian fiction I have read. The narration was so good it only added to the emotion invoked by the captivating story. I wish all audiences would read it.

Wonderful Christian fiction. Read the whole series
Revisado: 03-09-15
This whole series is well written and inspiring, but this last book is by far the best. Great insight into Roman life and that of the early Christians. The narration is excellent.
