When the author started trying to make a link between Autism, and Ehlers-Danlos that's when they lost me. Mostly because of the crazy chicken, or egg question posed of whether the physical problem is caused by a psychological condition... Even if there's a possibility of a link between the two, it would be intelligent for anyone with any type of medical knowledge, or indeed information to posit that the genetic mutation may have lead to the neurological, and psychological issues; not vice versa. Also, to make it an evolution issue is also quite ludicrously ignorant. With possibly some type of bigotry bias built-in whether the person knows it or not. The narrator was so dry, and wooden that you could use his voice for kindling!

Wow! Definitely worth a listen.

I will have to listen to this again a few more times. The first time I was too caught up in the fact that it almost read verbatim many of the things that I've gone through; things that could have possibly lead to issues. Wow, just wow!

Slavery is evil no matter who is doing it!

I'm so surprised at the continuing theme of slavery in the works of a black woman! I will never understand as a black woman other black people's fascination with enslaving others because they were slaved. If you can't learn from the evil that were done to you enough to not do it to others, then you're inhuman, and deserve no life!

Why, why, why...?

If I have to listen to, or read another story involving black people where they feel the need to make every white person around them racist, ignorant about life, or entirely more privileged than most of white people in the world. There is a reason that it is called the 1%! Only 1% of the world's population is as privileged as people seem to think all white people are! The social injustice in most areas of life, but definitely in the penile system is an economic one; not a racial one! There have been studies done about this, but no one wants to listen. As long as you keep fighting the wrong battles nothing will change! I grew up in GHETTO! I do not care who doesn't like that term... That is exactly what it was! But, one thing that I noticed when I was young was that the poor white people in my area had 0 more breaks than the poor black people in my area! Now, people would try to say that "it's only because they live around black people that they get treated like black people... " Yet, when I got older, and lived in poor white neighborhoods. I noticed no one got special favors, or get-out-of-jail-free cards, or an easy way to go because they were white. Most of the time (as it is in many areas of life) the buddy system ruled in most of those cases. in today's world it is who you know, or who you can pay! It doesn't matter how light, or dark you are. But, great narrating overall! And, up until Drew, and Alexis conversation when Drew came up after give me the grim news to his patient... It was an excellent story.

If I have to experience another story that is trying to prop up the main female character as strong while simultaneously making her the most annoying, weak, and insipid character in the novel I will scream! It's just too much!

Truly excellent!

I don't usually review books unless they are either especially horrible, or especially great! Thankfully this books fits into the latter category. I have reviewed few books. And, of them few were positive... But, this book has so far been such a great experience. I felt compelled to give a review at this very moment. I'm not even out of chapter 6... You get enthralled in the story because the wit, story, and character development combines so well. But, the narrating is it... The female narrating the story does an awesome job. She perfectly weaves the right atmospheric pitch for each moment. Placing just the right inflection upon her words, and making just the right changes in tone to really bring each characters voice to life. The way she your narrates really gives the characters a feeling of existence.
