Historia
Can the love of a lifetime be forever changed by one pink line? With heart, humor, and compassion, Dina Silver’s debut novel of love, loss, and family is certain to stir anyone who relishes a good laugh, can stand a good cry, and, above all, believes in the redemptive power of love. This unique, modern story gives listeners a dual perspective. Sydney, a sweet-tempered, strong-natured college senior, is young, in love with an exceptional man, and unexpectedly pregnant. Faced with a child she never planned for, she is forced to relay this news to her neurotic mother, relinquish her youth, and risk losing the love of her life. Then there’s Grace, her daughter, who believes she is a product of this great love, but grows to realize her existence is not what she assumed and is left with profound and puzzling questions about who she really is.

The book was great, The voice of the mother was terrible
Revisado: 09-06-17
Whoever did the voice of Sydney's mother was rough. She also struggled with using expressions appropriately. Other than that, the book was great. I was able to power through the instances with annoying narration.

Historia
What Jack needs is an excuse to leave town. Ever since rescuing four teenagers from a car wreck, he's been hailed as a hero and the attention is making him itchy, especially since his too-pretty ex-wife is back, angling for a reunion. He's always liked Emmaline. She needs a weekend date? No problem. So when they wind up in bed together, Em chalks it up to red wine and chocolate cake, just one impulsive night not to be repeated. But Jack's pushing for more.

Narrator is terrible
Revisado: 12-03-15
What would have made In Your Dreams better?
I had to return the book after 30 minutes because the narrator was had a weird gushing valley girl voice. It was like fingernails.
Would you ever listen to anything by Kristan Higgins again?
I've listened to her other books and liked them, but couldn't get through this because of the narrator.
What didn’t you like about Amy Rubinate’s performance?
The funny thing is that when she does other voices, you can hear that the valley girl goes away. So this narrator has talent. But she needs to work on her regular voice and the weird valley girl accent that comes along with it. It's tough to get through it.

Historia
Gabrielle Ginsberg was a public defender with plenty of nerve and Braden Pierce was an assistant district attorney with a whole lot of swagger. Gabrielle wanted Braden and Braden wanted Gabrielle. And Cameron wanted Gabrielle. And Marla wanted Braden. And Cole wanted Gabrielle. And Mrs. Mason wanted Braden. And an anonymous letter writer wanted to keep Gabrielle and Braden apart.

Rough Narrator
Revisado: 09-10-15
What did you like best about The Law of Attraction? What did you like least?
The book was fine. It was funny. The narrator is rough. I get that this book has sex scenes, but I don't want the narrator moaning and groaning through them as if she's having sex. No other narrator does that. I had to fast forward because it felt like I was actually infringing on her own personal sex life.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Again, the story was fine. There wasn't a whole lot of plot.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
The narrator could have just read the sex scenes without moaning and huffing and pretending she was having an orgasm. It was disgusting.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Maybe.
