Historia
After a long and eventful life, Allan Karlsson ends up in a nursing home, believing it to be his last stop. The only problem is that he's still in good health, and in one day, he turns 100. A big celebration is in the works, but Allan really isn't interested (and he'd like a bit more control over his vodka consumption). So he decides to escape. He climbs out the window in his slippers and embarks on a hilarious and entirely unexpected journey, involving, among other surprises, a suitcase stuffed with cash.

This story rambled on and on
Revisado: 12-22-24
The story started out interesting then became a seemingly unending ramble. It as though the author had many small stores that they mashed up together to make a good short read into a huge unending patched together monstrosity. It reminds me of a student who was tasked with writing a twelve paragraph paper, but only has enough material for one paragraph. To make the correct number of paragraphs they just keep writing in circles.

Historia
Simone used to be the woman that other women would use if they suspected that their partner was cheating. She would investigate, find out the truth, and if the men were guilty, exact revenge. But after things went wrong with one couple, Simone was forced to go into hiding. Simone is now Mary, a mild-mannered woman who doesn't raise her voice or get angry, meaning nobody would suspect her of being capable of the things she used to do for a living. But when she finds out that her new boyfriend is having an affair, it awakens in her the person she used to be.

The Vertical Voice program did this book a disservice. The is no voic inflection as the characters have dialogue. Otherwise the story is fairly good.
