Historia
Disgraced Navy SEAL Finn is on the run. A wanted man since he jumped ship from the USS Abraham Lincoln, he’s sought for questioning in connection to war crimes committed in Yemen by a rogue element in his SEAL team. But his memory of that night—as well as the true fate of his mentor and only friend, Lieutenant Kennedy—is a gaping hole. Finn learns that three members of his team have been quietly redeployed to Iceland, which is a puzzle in itself; the tiny island nation is famous for being one of the most peaceful, crime-free places on the planet.

Narration terrible! Get the other version.
Revisado: 05-21-23
I can’t even really comment on the story at this point because I couldn’t listen to the narration. I expect the story is good based on the previous book on the series. I spent another credit on the alternate version of this book with another narrator so I can actually listen to it. This one is way too fast, way too dramatic, and just over the top. Could not stomach it.

Kind of a Starship Troopers ripoff
Revisado: 02-28-23
Overly reminiscent of Starship Troopers to the point it felt like a ripoff. Narration was okay.

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Historia
Kevin Mitnick was the most elusive computer break-in artist in history. He accessed computers and networks at the world’s biggest companies—and however fast the authorities were, Mitnick was faster, sprinting through phone switches, computer systems, and cellular networks. He spent years skipping through cyberspace, always three steps ahead and labeled unstoppable.

Whiny and self-serving
Revisado: 06-18-20
Mitnick comes across as wanting everyone to feel sorry for him at having been caught so many times, and oh so impressed with his prowess. The book comes across as whiny and seems so one-sided that I’m convinced he’s lying about several things. Couldn’t make it past about the first third of the book before I’d had enough. Ray Porter is a great narrator though.
