Historia
A series of bizarre occurrences suddenly plague the island of Cielo Nublado. A dead whale washes ashore riddled with enormous bite marks. A fishing charter is reported missing, jet skiers vanish, and a yacht is found mysteriously ravaged after some kind of enormous impact. Chief of Police Nico Medrano tries to investigate the matter. His search for answers puts him on a collision course with an 80-foot predator, long thought extinct. Violent and merciless, it has risen to the surface, and seeks to wreak havoc on the small island community.

amazingly fun story!!
Revisado: 11-26-24
This writer has a fun style and a good grasp on making likeable characters. His settings are simple and relatrelatable, and the purpose style stories won me over 4 books ago.

Revisado: 06-27-24
I love the Alex Hunter Books and I hope he writes 50 more before they end! Greig Beck is an immensely talented writer and an all around awesome guy. His writing is topnotch, and some of the best sci-fi horror around.

this was awesome!!
Revisado: 10-12-23
This podcast was an amazing throwback to the old AYAotD series from the 90s. none of these stories are too deep or involved and instead focus on tone and pacing. it's a great ride for anyone who grew up with the old series or looking to pass it on to their kids.
I definitely recommend this!!

A+++ Choom!
Revisado: 02-28-23
I had absolutely no idea what to expect when I downloaded this title. But, frankly, it was so good that I dusted off my Cyberpunk RPG and immediately set out to running a new campaign.
The author has an amazing facility for setting the scene and character building that it's easy to get lost in. this is an especially hard feat for science fiction given the obvious disconnects with our current world. Then again, corporate greed, governmental oppression and the the abuse of power and disregard of human life by those in control is certainly a commonality we share with this dystopia future. I cannot wait to read thru the next two books.

Historia
The legend of Lemuria, the Mysterious Island, and all its wonders and dangers were all too real. And it has been found. But the ancient stories of the great treasure and horrors that existed through the ice rift and beyond Odin’s Gate could never have prepared them what they discovered – monstrous creatures that lived in the sea, in the air and on land. And now Troy Strom and Anne Walsh are trapped there among them.

Awesome Story Exactly What I've Come to Expect
Revisado: 01-06-23
Greig Beck has an amazing facility for telling a story without being overly wordy or needlessly pretentious with odd vocabulary. He has an amazing method of character development that feels as though your journey with the characters brings you into their trials and tribulations and builds a sense of worth. even with the villains or antagonists. Keep it up, Greig! I have yet to read a story of yours that I haven't loved!

Historia
It was just an ordinary garbage dump on peaceful Cape Cod. No one ever imagined that conditions were perfect for breeding, that it was a warm womb, fetid, moist, and with food so plentiful that everything creeping, crawling, and slithering could gorge to satiation. Then a change in poison control was made, resulting in an unforeseen mutation. Now the giant mutant cockroaches are ready to leave their nest - in search of human flesh!

a perfect telling of an amusing sci-horror story
Revisado: 12-27-22
The author has a natural facility for telling a story with genius characters while not sounding, himself, pretensious. it's a hard balance to strike. likewise the narrator is top notch and gives his various characters personality without resorting to over the top charactatures. Good story, guys!

Historia
In the forbidden deserts of Yemen, a structure has been found—a buried pyramid—thousands of years older than anything previously known. And indications are, it was buried on purpose. What is discovered inside could prove that we’re not alone in the universe. And terrifyingly, after 7,000 years, there is a biological obscenity that remains, not yet dead. Ancient writing suggests the pyramid’s builders have been taking humans, and when evidence is found that in remote corners of the world people are still disappearing, the HAWCs are called to action.

Still Amazing!
Revisado: 10-07-22
It's fantastic that, this many novels in, this story is still as exciting and fantastical as the first book. There has not been a single Greig Beck novel that I have not enjoyed immensely. Most of the characters continue to develop wonderfully, although it seems Amy has gone from a strong independent female lead to a bit of stage dressing and the bus aide on the plot bus. But, I enjoy the evolution of Joshua and the balance of Alex hinging his old existence against the new. Jack Hammerson is still a respectable, if not loveable ass hole. and Casey remains an amusing aside that never seems out of place.
Keep em Coming, Greig!

absolutely brilliant horror writing!
Revisado: 01-04-22
I read this book when it first came out. I then forgot the title and author and spent years trying to figure out the name of the book and how I could get a copy. this story was expertly crafted and flawlessly paced. the characters grew towards one another and each one carried with them their own worth. there was no excess baggage as is so often the case in horror. the narrator was a little rough in the beginning but seemed to find his pace a couple hours in.
this is a must listen!
