Referencing famous people of color TD Jakes felt were miss treated had nothing to do with why I would buy this book.
Forgive me but I can’t help but mention all of the Jewish people through history who have been mistreated, he didn’t mention any of them!
From the title of the book I thought this would be a book about growing under God‘s hand not a book about black lives matter. The book had so much promise and then there was so much disappointment. TD Jakes talked about, Crushing God Turns Pressure into Power . Jakes never talked about the details of what that experience was for him personally he only talked about his own personal life but not his own personal growth, disappointing.
Jakes , did give a number of good Bible references, he does give a couple of good Bible dramatizations while making his point although had he done more of that and less political canvassing it would have been a better book.
Actually my impression is this book was half written for God the other half is a political agenda. There it is Thomas. Thoughts?
