If you're this far into this series you'll probably enjoy the book just as I did. That being said, I was very disappointed with the narrator. Almost all of the characters sounded exactly the same, but more annoyingly the narrator mispronounced or used an entirely incorrect word on dozens of occasions, including character names. sliver became silver, Kylar became Kyle, etc.
still a great conclusion to this story arc!

Great oration; the speaker uses several voices and dialects and it really helps keep track of the characters and their varying personalities. this is not some cheap Dresden knock off at all (even though the premise is slightly similar). Really cool magic system that evokes an almost X-Men-esque storyline of "actives" vs "no actives". highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a great adventure, well written characters, and magic! Did I mention the accurate descriptions and use of pre WWII firearms!?

I think this must have been written for kids, because the pacing is super slow, boring, and shallow. Characters are one dimensional, and the little action in the book is brief and not very entertaining. im sorry to say this book left me feeling cheated :(
