Love the Book…Hate the Narrator

This is probably my favorite Breed novel so I was super excited to try it out on Audio. Boy was I let down. The narrator was so boring and most of the time I’m able to move past the fact that the voices don’t match what I had in my head or they don’t emphasize what I personally think should be. But come on man she couldn’t even get the heroine’s name pronounced correctly. I didn’t finish chapter 3 it was so bad. Would LOVE to see this re-recorded. Potentially with a male and female.

Honestly, this isn’t one of my most favorite books by LLV but it’s still Lani so it’s awesome!!! I feel as though I made a valiant effort to finish but the male just sounds like a surfer dude from California. Definitely NOT a native Texan. As a Texan it’s irksome, but I kept feeling like he’d pop out a “dude” or “bro” I made it through 4 hours but couldn’t do it anymore!!!!

I LOVE this story! However, from the VERY first time the female was trying to be a man, all I could hear was Christoff talking for Sven in Frozen. The male voicing was just okay but man the woman really almost ruined it for me a time or two. That being said the story was amazing. Of course it was with LLV!

Monotonous

I love this story, so I was super excited to listen to it. However Mr. Arden completely ruined this for me. He had no inflection in his voice at all and it just droned on and on unfortunately. It’s a bit annoying because when he wasn’t voicing the H he actually seemed pretty good (maybe it was just the break from the monotony?)
Anywho, it was a MAJOR let down and I was unfortunately unable to make it past Chapter 3. Now I’m off to just reread the book cause I’m really in a Kinda Don’t Care mood lately!

Casten Red, the unofficial enforcer of the Uncertain Saints MC, wasn't necessarily trying to urge her into doing anything illegal, and he definitely wasn't trying to get her into a fight with a group of men who were all twice her size. He should've followed his gut instinct and turned around that first moment he saw her in the bar, but Casten has never liked following the rules. Why the hell would he start now?

I love this book! My only complaint that had me both laughing and cringing equally, was the guy when he was pretending to be the girl. It may just be cause I’m from Texas, but he was putting on a fake a** Scarlett O’Hara Georgian accent straight out of the 1800’s. Thankfully, I feel like he didn’t have to do it too much but it was awful! Lol otherwise awesome!
