Historia
Francis Parkman's journal - written more than 150 years ago, in 1846 - provides an eye-witness account of one of the grandest adventures in American history. At age 23, the Harvard-educated Bostonian traveled the Rocky Mountains, living among the Dakota Sioux. In his journal, he captured the color, spirit, and perspective of his era, as well as the exuberant confidence that was the mark of his time. Frank Muller's dramatic reading brings this captivating record to life.

When Frank Muller narrates a story , you cannot stop. This is a great visual story of an experience/adventure across the states in a most difficult time.

If there’s anything they can count on, it’s each other. Clementine and Erika are each other’s oldest friends. A single look between them can convey an entire conversation. But theirs is a complicated relationship, so when Erika mentions a last minute invitation to a barbecue with her neighbors, Tiffany and Vid, Clementine and Sam don’t hesitate.

Would you try another book from Liane Moriarty and/or Caroline Lee?
Never

Something that has some interesting characters
How did the narrator detract from the book?
She was horrible. Don't know what kind of accent she was trying to portray but it doesn't work
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment. I couldn't even get through Part 1 before I gave up on it and deleted the book

Historia
The year is 2008 and Samantha Kofer's career at a huge Wall Street law firm is on the fast track - until the recession hits and she gets downsized, furloughed, escorted out of the building. Samantha, though, is one of the "lucky" associates. She's offered an opportunity to work at a legal aid clinic for one year without pay, after which there would be a slim chance that she'd get her old job back. In a matter of days Samantha moves from Manhattan to Brady, Virginia, population 2,200, in the heart of Appalachia, a part of the world she has only read about.

Worst book Grisham as ever written
Revisado: 01-12-15
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
If you are interested in a relentless condemnation of the evil coal mining companies and defamation of the people living in coal mining country with little or no plot, this is a book for you.
Would you ever listen to anything by John Grisham again?
If this is the best John Grisham can now produce, he is off of my list of preferred authors
How did the narrator detract from the book?
No one, even the great Frank Muller, could rescue this book
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
It had no redeeming features. I had to quit after 12 chapters. It was going nowhere of interest.

General George S. Patton, Jr., died under mysterious circumstances in the months following the end of World War II. For almost 70 years, there has been suspicion that his death was not an accident - and may very well have been an act of assassination. Killing Patton will take listeners inside the final year of the war and recount the events surrounding Patton's tragic demise, naming names of the many powerful individuals who wanted him silenced.

Great book, bad reader
Revisado: 10-11-14
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Great review of WW II and the characters involved in it on all sides.
What did you like best about this story?
History briefly but well told.
How could the performance have been better?
O'reilly is not a professional reader and it shows. Don't know if it is ego or arrogance, or both, but the reading detracted substantially from the enjoyment.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Not likely

Dog Lovers
Revisado: 03-10-08
I love Merle. This is a very compelling tale of a dog you cannot help but love. The author portrays his great personality with such humanity. This is a book for anyone who has loved a dog and has treated one as valued family member. The author also does a great job of relaying facts and history of the evolution of this great relationship which many of us are lucky enough to enjoy.

Semyon Dukach was known as the Darling of Las Vegas. A legend at age 21, this cocky hotshot was the biggest high roller to appear in Sin City in decades, a mathematical genius with a system the casinos had never seen before and couldn't stop, a system that has never been revealed until now; that has nothing to do with card counting, wasn't illegal, and was more powerful than anything that had been tried before.

Great information
Revisado: 12-21-07
Such great information presented in an understandable format. A bit humbling to realize our place in the enormity of the universe and its life span. It is written in a less than overwhelmingly serious manner and the reader makes it even more entertaining. Highly recommended!
