Historia
Networking has garnered a reputation as a sort of necessary evil in the modern business world. Some do relish the opportunity to boldly work the room, but for many others, the experience is often awkward, or even terrifying. The common networking advice for introverts are variations on the theme of overcoming or “fixing” their quiet tendencies. But Karen Wickre, a self-described introvert who has worked in Silicon Valley for 30 years, tells you to embrace your true nature to create sustainable connections that can be called upon for you to get career assistance, advice, introductions, and lasting connections.

Great ideas about building relationships
Revisado: 03-07-19
A great book on the topic of building and sustaining relationships in the modern age. The author shares several actionable ideas and is clearly an expert on the topic. One of the best books on the topic, I've read in recent years. The book has excellent ideas for both introverts and extroverts and is a terrific reminder that we're living in a relationships first era.

Researcher and thought leader Dr. Brené Brown offers a powerful new vision that encourages us to dare greatly: to embrace vulnerability and imperfection, to live wholeheartedly, and to courageously engage in our lives. In Daring Greatly, Dr. Brown challenges everything we think we know about vulnerability. Based on 12 years of research, her book argues that vulnerability is not weakness but rather our clearest path to courage, engagement, and meaningful connection.

Horrible narrator
Revisado: 09-03-18
Omigod, please listen to a clip of the narrator before deciding to get the Audible for this. It was AWFUL and painful to listen to even if the content was great

WAY to much Jesus in this book
Revisado: 03-20-18
The beginning was great and I thought it was going to be very helpful, but she lost me as soon as she went into the very extensive bit about Jesus and what God wants. The random tip about "sex being important" just felt totally out of place.

Arrogant & annoying
Revisado: 04-16-16
Quite frankly, I stopped listening to this with 6:52 remaining, because this author's not-so-humble-braggery for the first 20+ minutes of the book was so painful to me. All I heard was someone with a charmed upbringing who was naturally physically gifted who succeeded at life. I do not even want to go on because I so did not relate to this person.

Superficial Lecture
Revisado: 11-12-07
I've listened to several books on customer service from audible. This lecture ranks as the worst. It is trite, full of euphemisms, and focuses mainly on the food service industry. It is a taped recording of the author's lecture which is read in a monotonous voice. I would not recommend wasting any money or credits on this lecture.
