Historia
Life for widowed Grace Wingate Jenkins has been simple enough these past few years on Amelia Island, running a bookstore and raising a painfully shy toddler girl. But when that simple life is turned upside down, Grace realizes she’s also been given a gift in the form of a friend who has an entirely different perspective. Will that be enough as she navigates the next chapter as a single mother and bookstore owner?

Ok, I am truly hooked!
Revisado: 09-08-24
After completing Book 3 in the series, Seven Sisters, I just love how each book so far stays true to family, love and faith in God that touches a new person in each book. I never thought I would be wanting to continue on the development of each sister, but being one of three in my own family I am so enjoying the highs and lows of the unique relationships and the distance personalities of each one presented so far; Bravo, Hope Holloway, you have captured my heart! Thank you! On to Book 4!

Historia
Everyone refers to the St. Cecelia as “the Saint.” If you grew up coming here, you were “a Saint.” If you came from the wrong side of the river, you were “an Ain’t.” Traci Eddings was one of those outsiders whose family wasn’t rich enough or connected enough to vacation here. But she could work here. One fateful summer she did, and married the boss’s son. Now, she’s the widowed owner of the hotel, determined to see it return to its glory days, even as staff shortages and financial troubles threaten to ruin it. Plus, her greedy and unscrupulous brother-in-law wants to make sure she fails.

Historia
Hollis Shaw, creator of the popular food blog, Hungry with Hollis, is shocked when her heart surgeon husband, Matthew, is killed in a one-car accident on a snowy morning. The cracks in Hollis’s perfect life—her strained marriage and her complicated relationship with her daughter, Caroline—grow deeper. So when Hollis hears about something called a “Five-Star Weekend”—one woman organizes a trip for her best friend from each phase of her life: her teenage years, her twenties, her thirties, and midlife—she decides to host her own Five-Star Weekend on Nantucket.

My favorite summer author and narrator do it again!
Revisado: 06-24-23
One of EH’s best in the last few years….the concept of the weekend and how the characters’ stories unravel in unintentional ways as the protagonist, Hollis Shaw, hosts her special weekend. The novel was intriguing and enjoyable as I tried to put all the connections together. In the end I loved every character for who each one was in her own right in addition to their personal connection to Hollis. I did not want the story to end! And as always, the setting on Nantucket makes the story endearing and magical as well as Erin Bennett’s distinctive voice for each character. A great way to start my summer listening☺️🕊☀️

Congratulations, you have made it to the last day of the Bible in a Year journey! Fr. Mike concludes our journey through the Bible by reflecting on the promise of a new heaven and a new earth in Revelation 21. It is this profound promise that reassures us that Christ is the beginning and the end, the one who makes all things new, the one who wipes away every tear, the one who conquers death, and the only one who offers us everlasting life, a life without end. Today's readings are Revelation 21-22, Hebrews 11-13, and Proverbs 31:30-31. For the complete reading plan, visit ascensionpress.com/...

What a Gift for us all -to know how much we are loved by God!
Revisado: 12-31-22
These last two years listening to Fr. Mike Schmitz have been the most enjoyable for me in my faith journey. His final words last Dec. 31 of 2021 and today Dec. 31, 2022 caused me to shed tears of pure joy for knowing one more day that I am so loved by God and through the most holy Trinity. Thank you, Fr. Mike for your vocation. It has been an honor for all of us to be with you on this journey. God bless you and I will continue to pray for you and this growing community. 🥰🕊🙏🏻⛪️
