Historia
Thrown into a desolate land of sickness and unnatural beasts, Kai wakes in the woods with no idea who she is or how she got there. All she knows is that if she cannot reach the Sea of Devour, even this hellscape will get worse. But when she sees the village blacksmith fight invaders with unspeakable skill, she decides to accept his offer of help. Too bad he’s as skilled at annoying her as he is at fighting. As she searches for answers, Kai only finds more questions, especially regarding the blacksmith who can ignite her body like a flame, then douse it with ice in the next breath.

Cliff hanger
Revisado: 04-07-25
When I started this book, I thought am I gonna like it, well I enjoyed part of the story, but it’s just kind of drug on and on and a cliffhanger at the end is not my cup of tea, especially when the next book is not even remotely close to being out. Just my opinion for what it’s worth.

Historia
The first body is torn apart, blood and flesh discovered across both state and federal lands. As the victims multiply, a pattern emerges—each is related to past cases investigated by Laurel Snow, with the assist of Huck Rivers, Washington Fish and Wildlife captain. When friends and loved ones are targeted, things become even more chillingly personal. As Laurel and Huck team up again to navigate the gruesome and increasingly bizarre killings, they must also keep a safe distance from Laurel's half-sister, Abigail, a dangerously clever sociopath.

Kept my interest the whole way through
Revisado: 02-17-25
I enjoyed the series, but it appears the author left the door open for another book in the series. I’d definitely like to see Abigail brought to justice.

Historia
Laurel Snow wouldn't call hunting a serial killer a vacation, but with a pile of dead bodies unearthed near her Genesis Valley, Washington, hometown, she'll take what she can get. Yet something about this case stirs her in unexpected ways. Like the startling connection she feels to Dr. Abigail Caine, a fiercely intelligent witness with a disturbing knack for making Laurel feel like she has something on her. Then there's Laurel's attraction to Huck Rivers, the fish and wildlife officer guiding her to the crime scene - and into the wilderness....

A good mystery
Revisado: 02-12-25
It’s always a great book when you’re never quite sure who the killer is. It went back and forth between several different suspects and then bam, out comes the killer. I enjoyed the dynamic between the characters and it was an enjoyable read. Now I’ll have to buy the next book in the series to find out if the sister shows more of her true colors.

Historia
When the Chaos Motorcycle Club came to call, Harlan “Hugger” McCain wasn’t ready to be welcomed into the fold. They said he was a legacy. He felt like an outcast. But he patched in anyway. And he was all in to be a part of their not-quite-outlaw missions. This takes him down to Phoenix, right into the orbit of Diana Armitage, a beautiful, green-eyed woman with a heart of gold and a scarily honed tendency to sacrifice for pretty much everyone she cares about and some people she barely knows.

A great story, even through the tears…
Revisado: 02-09-25
Just so you know, this review will have a spoiler, so if you haven’t read the book yet, don’t read any further. I don’t want to spoil anything for you!
So for those of you who are true Kristen Ashley fans, my next comment will come as no surprise and is not a criticism for Kristen, but F*#% you Kristen, dog gone it. Big Petey was supposed to live forever, he’s immortal, didn’t you realize that? I don’t think I’ve cried that much reading a book since Teddy died in The Rising, that was gut wrenching too. Anyway, it was a fun story and I love how Kristen brings in characters from many of her previous books and series. It’s fun to catch up on their lives as time passes.
As always, I am happy to recommend this book to new fans of Kristen Ashley.

Historia
Twenty-four-year-old Saeris Fane is good at keeping secrets. No one knows about the strange powers she possesses or the fact that she has been picking pockets and stealing from the Undying Queen's reservoirs for as long as she can remember. But a secret is like a knot. Sooner or later, it is bound to come undone. When Saeris comes face-to-face with Death himself, she inadvertently reopens a gateway between realms and is transported to a land of ice and snow. The Fae have always been the stuff of myth, of legend, of nightmares… but it turns out they're real.

A strange and different world
Revisado: 01-04-25
This is an intriguing story. The author has quite the imagination. She did a great job of creating a sense of what the world looked like and felt like. I’m always intrigued when an author can help me to see the world she’s creating, To me that’s a great author.
The narrators did a great job of portraying their characters. Stella Bloom has always been one of my favorite narrators. I enjoyed the story, I think you will too.

Yet all it takes is a few heart-wrenching seconds to upend Kit’s world. Live coverage of a club fire in Auckland has captured the image of a woman stumbling through the smoke and debris. Her resemblance to Josie is unbelievable. And unmistakable. With it comes a flood of emotions - grief, loss, and anger - that Kit finally has a chance to put to rest: by finding the sister who’s been living a lie.

Family drama
Revisado: 01-01-25
This was a story of the past and present, addiction and recovery, poor parenting because of addiction and all the damage that causes in a family. It kind of felt like the build up of two siblings, thought to be lost forever, took way too long to find each other. I did enjoy the story and I’m glad that things finally worked out for two sisters who were so important to each other, finally forgave and moved forward in life together. I’m also glad Kit came to her senses and let love enter her life again.

Time travel, a complicated game
Revisado: 12-30-24
Nick does a great job of making the book really hard to put down. The intrigue and adventure keep things very interesting.
As the time travel trips continue to evolve it does get a little confusing, especially when two Joe’s were in San Francisco. I didn’t realize Nick was planning a book 5, so I was a little disappointed more things weren’t resolved by the end of this book, so I guess I just have to look forward to the next book. Hurry up please! LOL

A great addition to the series…
Revisado: 12-20-24
A great addition to the series, in fact I like it more than the 1st book. It’s super fun to reconnect with many of the rock chicks and I love it that Tex and Nanci are moving down to Phoenix. I always liked Eric, so it’s nice to see him get his HEA.
Kristen does a great job of NOT giving us those annoying cliffhangers while giving us a cliff teaser. Anyway, I really enjoyed the book and can’t wait for the next one.

A great addition to the series
Revisado: 11-21-24
I love how each book is represented and how Kristen answered some of our questions about how/why/where and when things progressed to find someone mentioned in the books or maybe why people did something unusual. And in Ally and REN’s story, I was glad to find out that Uncle Vedo was faithful to his wife Angela. I’m not sure why but I always thought he was a cheeting scoundrel. It gave me a some joy to think of him in a positive manner. Thank you for the additional details!

I enjoyed the stories however it was really the same story told over and over. I wish the stories would have had a little more variety in the storyline.
