This book was such a good read. It has just the right amount of spice and storyline. It will grab your attention and keep you wanting more. Although the actors voices were a little robotic, I loved the book so much I was able to look past that and continue reading. This was a first time read from this author and I want more of her books. Definitely going to look at her other books.
The sexual tension between Rook and Rebel was so intense. Those two could just look at each other and they were ready to bone. 🤭 I loved how Rook took care of Rebel, even in the beginning. That man was head over hills in love from the moment they met. 😊 I couldn’t stand Eliot from the moment he was introduced and I’m so glad he got what was coming to him. Rebel deserved so much better and I’m glad Rook took care of it all while giving her control back.
They say opposites attract, well that couldn’t be more true with these two. They were made for each other and they make each other better in so many ways. I loved these two together.
Now, I want to know more about Evie and Aiden. Those two need their own story. I’m definitely going to see if they have a book because I loved them separately and together. And don’t get me started on Hero. That’s my kind of guy. 😂
Overall, I loved this whole world and can’t wait to see if there are more books with these characters.

I’m Obsessed!!!

What have you done Leigh Rivers? You’ve gone and wrote this amazing book that I’m now obsessed with. 😋
There is something about an unhinged MMC that just does it for me. Malachi is that guy that everyone is terrified of and will kill you in a heartbeat but to Olivia he is such a softy. It’s got everything my dark romance loving self melts over in this book. With a hot, psychotic, sexy, big dick energy mmc to boot.
I couldn’t get enough of this book. This was the first time ever listening to a Joe Arden narration as well and let me tell you, he did phenomenal. He really embodied Malachi and brought him to life. I’ve already gotten book 2 ready to go. I’m going to immediately start that tonight.

Yes! Just what we wanted for this series, Jesse’s POV!

I am so glad we got Jesse’s POV in this book. Lady’s, the amount of times I melted over this man’s voice… too many! This man ,y’all this man. The way he takes care of September in and out of the bedroom. 🙌🏼 Now he messes up a couple times but what man don’t?! I’m a sucker for that protective manly man that is a teddy bear for his woman. Controlling but only in the good way. IYKYK! Respectful while also standing his ground. Encourages her to enjoy life as a young adult while also loving her and letting her know who her man is. 🥵 Yup, that’s Jesse! Did I mention how absolutely divine his voice is…oh I did 😉.

Now September, very grown up for her age but also had her moments. 😆 There was a couple times I wanted to throttle her and just scream at her to talk to Jesse but I understood her POV on it. You can really see how much more grown up she becomes in this book and I loved that. She finally got to tell her Momma how it is and oh how joyous that was to read. I was high fiving September and cheering her on. That announcement towards the end, 😮 that was a complete shock but made the listening experience that much more exciting.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It was so relatable in many ways. I really enjoyed the whole series but the second book was even more intriguing and enjoyable. I love the books that are a rollercoaster of emotions and this one did that and more. I would highly recommend this series.

September and Jesse!

Holy hell, I knew I would like the book(being taboo is one of my favorite books) but this went above and beyond liking the book. Normally I just listen while driving. Well with this book, I found myself putting in headphones just to listen. I couldn’t get enough of September and Jesse’s story. Oh and Scout, I just love her. 🤗 She is my kind of girl.
This was an all consuming type of story. It drew me in immediately. I was laughing out loud, angry, frustrated, sad, and much more 😉. I loved the pace of the story and the sexual tension between the two. 🫦 Something about Jesse’s voice 🤤. His slight country accent, yes please!
I immediately purchased the second book in the series. I had to know what happened. I will continue to read from this author. I love the way she writes and just immerses you into the book.

Very good.

This was a good story. I loved all the characters and the drama and banter between them. Poor Echo was just wanting love from Selena. I couldn’t imagine doing that to a man like Echo. Anyway, I loved Echo’s love story and the ending was perfect.

What a mind blowing experience!

Wow! I was not expecting that ending. I was completely thrown for a loop on that. I loved the book but once it got to that ending, I was blown away with this book. Imagine being at work and you scream out “Wait, What!?!?” Absolutely amazing. For this to be my first experience with audible books, I’m loving it and this book. Definitely would recommend this book to everyone. Spice is spectacular and the storyline was amazing. 10/10 for sure.
