I can't concentrate on the book because of the way the narrator delivers the sentences. I tryed twice to listen to the book. The story looked interesting.

No me canso de leerlo

lo he leído y escuchado varias veces desde que salió en español en 1990 Me gusta todo el libro y los personajes están bien construidos, también me gusta la descripción de los lugares, especialmente Roma. Siempre me quedo con ganas de más y me gustaría que los demás libros de esta saga estuvieran en audio.
La narradora es buena.
Muuuuy recomendable.

I enjoyed this novel from beginning to end. I read other books from this author and enjoyed them as well. The narrator is also good.

Horrible

Qué pérdida de tiempo (de dinero no porque lo pienso devolver). Parece un anuncio de teletienda muy largo. Cuenta un secreto que conoce todo el mundo desde hace 3000 años. Y, en realidad de lo qye habla es de lo que cualquiera con un poco de raciocinio sabe: que quien tiene seguridad en si mismo, quien es optimista, quien tiene coraje para luchar lo transmite con su manera de hablar y su lenguaje corporal y con esa actitud es más fácil tener éxito aunque ni así es tan fácil como sugiere el libro. Lo dicho: horrible

Lo he leido del tirón. me ha gustado y tambien el narrador. Normalmente no me gustan los narradores hispano-americanos cuando el libro es europeo o historico, ej. : medieval. Es como hoy a alguien de Texas hablar con acento londinense, pero en este caso quedaba bien.

Tiene un buen ritmo y dialogos divertidos. Se escucha del tirón y no se despista una como pasa con libros que no consiguen mantener la atención del lector-oyente. La trama está bien aunque le falta solidez, es un poco superficial.
El narrador me pareció al principio monotono y así es cuando lee la parte del narrador pero los dialogos los dramatiza y resultan vivos y ágiles. lo que no hace es cambiar las voces de los personajes, todos suenan igual.
Es el primer libro que escucho en español y he echado de menos a mis narradores preferidos en inglés. Tengo cerca de mil títulos que, por falta de tiempo para leer, escucho cuando conduzco o trabajo. Espero que se hagan más populares los libros audio en español para que pueda elegir más.

Muy interesante

I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. I would have listened to it in one sitting and I am going to read the next: Peregrinatio. with the same characters.
It was the second audio-book I listened in Spanish. The narrator was good because he gave the reading a good pace but have two main flaws: he have the same voice for all characters and that his pronunciation is from latinamerica, maybe Mexican. It is shocking to listen to a caballero hospitalario speaking with Mexican accent. Though, at the end I got used to it and enjoyed the narration.

I felt like I was there myself

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

In most movies and books I feel I am a witness of the things happening to the caracters. In this book I felt I was one of them. When the bad guys appeared in the book I felt they were evil. It was quite upsetting. Also the wilderness being so beautiful was at the same time unfriendly. Still, it is the kind of book that leaves me thinking about it for a while after I finish it.

What about Will Patton???s performance did you like?

He is amazing. His voice keep rolling all the book, carrying the listener through it in a sort of conforting and cozy voice. It felt good. I'll be in the look out for more books narrated by him.
