Historia
Luke Schrock is a new and improved man after a stint in rehab, though everyone in Stoney Ridge only remembers the old Luke. They might have forgiven him, but nobody trusts him. Amos and Fern Lapp allow Luke to live at Windmill Farm under two conditions. First, Luke must make a sincere apology to each person he's hurt - a four-page, single-spaced list. Second, he must ask each victim of mischief to describe the damage he caused.

Historia
Along with his volunteer work at the local fire department, running his Amish farm keeps Jamie Riehl busy. He barely has time to eat at the family table, never mind find someone to date. But when he meets Kayla Dienner, he is smitten. Kayla tries hard to deny her attraction to Jamie. After all, she's spent the last year discouraging her younger brother, Nathan, from becoming a firefighter. The death of their older brother in a fire a year ago is fresh in her mind - she can't bear the idea of putting her heart on the line every time the sirens blare.

Kept my attention
Revisado: 10-14-18
The story was very interesting. The narrator's voice did not always match the level of emotion described, but was mostly appropriate and pleasant to listen to, I felt the frustration of the characters with them.

A Doable Solution
Revisado: 04-20-17
This plan is like so many - simple yet not easy to do - until you put it into action, and things happen! I like that Mel told the scientific reason for it to work, and gave many examples from readers who tried it with much success. As I first stated reading it, I began using it automatically in areas I wanted to be accountable. It helped right away. It also made me realize that I had fears that I was in denial about, so I will continue using the skills I have learned. A very valuable read. Gets better from beginning to end!!

Historia
Mackenzie Allen Phillips' youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation, and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later, in this midst of his great sadness, Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend. Against his better judgment he arrives at the shack one wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare. What he finds there will change his life forever.

Technical Difficulties
Revisado: 04-05-17
I really enjoyed this story. The narration was good, but it would randomly stop reading. I took a while to figure out that, if I clicked on the rewind for 30 seconds symbol, it would resume. Once it took 2 tries to make it restart, and another time it seemed to start further in the story, so I had to go back 30 seconds at a time until I once again recognized the story. I knew the movie was in theatres recently, but I hadn't gone to see it. This kept me motivated to persevere! I loved the surprise ending!
When I signed back in, the other book that I had just started, then decided to read this one first, was marked as finished, and this one wasn't.
