Historia
Dawn Conners’s parents are famous for finding historic treasures, but she has a knack for losing things - her job, her boyfriend, and now, her reputation. Thanks to a mud-slinging exposé, Dawn’s late great-grandfather is assumed guilty of stealing silver from a century-old shipwreck. Hoping to clear his name, Dawn returns to Starlight Cove, her idyllic hometown on Lake Michigan, where the doomed vessel sleeps beneath the beam of a ramshackle lighthouse.

Annoying Main Character
Revisado: 02-24-20
Despite this book being something of a sappy love story whose main character is a self absorbed, immature know it all, I did enjoy the basic story It was a respite from the psychological thrillers I have been indulging in

Does Not Live Up To Potential
Revisado: 10-02-19
The onset of the book through the first half, or perhaps two thirds the story is quite engaging. Unfortunately it devolves into a sappy love story liberally laced with Christian pap. Add to that the clichet of coincidence and the whole book lost my interest

GOOD STORY
Revisado: 05-09-19
I enjoyed the trilogy...interesting sequence. My displeasure with this story is with the narration. As a whole it is well paced. The voices of the adult characters, however, were less than mature Male & female alike all sounded prepubescent...not at all in keeping with character ages nor gravity of situations

In This Age
Revisado: 02-24-19
In this age of social media & helicopter parenting it is not surprising to find this cautionary tale. For some it may resonate as "too c!ose to home". The story is not without its flaws however. The author has indulged herself in the murky pool of melodrama. The teen daughter caught up in consensual experimentation, an hysterical mother drowning in her own youthful hidden indiscretion & a father who is little more than a selfrighteous jerk. The story plays out to a predictably sappy ending. All in all, not my cup of tea

Good One
Revisado: 01-16-19
While Thomas' book is by no means a literary masterpiece, KILL CREEK is a darned good horror story. The plot is enticing & the characters are reasonably likeable. It is a bit long...something that could have been remedied by skillful editing. The narration could have been handled better. All in all though, I did enjoy the book. Maybe a sequel in the offing ?

Get A Grip
Revisado: 01-09-19
The plot has potential...the characters...not so much. The main guy...Dakota...has about as much life & charm as a can of sardines. His total lack of afect in speech became so annoying I wanted to reach in & slap him silly...tell him to get a grip. I left the book at thatoint
