Historia
When hunky teenage hockey player Joe Andreson and his widowed mother move to Minneapolis, Joe falls under the seductive spell of Kristi Casey, Ole Bull High's libidinous head cheerleader. Joe balances Kristi's lustful manipulation with the down-to-earth companionship of his smart, platonic girlfriend, Darva. But it is Kristi who will prove to be a temptation (and torment) throughout Joe's life.

Great writer... not so interesting plot
Revisado: 10-19-07
This was my first Landvik story. She is an AMAZING writer... such attention to detail and she can really draw you in. HOWEVER, it's only because of that ability that I continued to listen to this story as the plot is just not worth it. From the synopsis of the book, it sounds like a tale that will focus on the character's life; only, the first 6 hours focuses mostly on a span of 5 years and then next 6 hours jumps through 30 years. Plus, the more interesting characters are not the ones focused on and the one she does, will have you asking WHY? If you are at all intrigued or interested, I'd highly recommend not getting the unabridged version!
P.S.- The narrator's low, rumbling voice takes a lot of adjustment to get used to it...

Historia
Divorced mom Anna is too busy to reenter the world of dating, no matter how expertly she's wooed. Grace has three daughters and the perfect husband, but she's obsessed with her weight. Juliet wants to make partner at her firm while her husband stays home with their twins, but she's finding more than work to occupy her. When Chloe gives birth, her husband seems indifferent to parenting. Mommy Tracked illuminates four friends, their intertwining lives, and their joys and mistakes along the way.

Gaskell's Best Yet...
Revisado: 09-28-07
Not to take away from her other books because I am a huge fan of those as well... they had me LOL and staying up late... but Mommy Tracked has more depth. In between the hilarious predicaments, there is a truth and deepness as to what issues many moms face today. There is also so much more vividness to the details in this book. If you are a mom, this is a must read and if you're not a mom... just have fun!
I listened to this mostly while in the school pickup line... beware: you may need to turn down the volume during some scenes for a few racy incidents. ;) LOL

Funniest yet...

This was my first audiobook in the Plum series so it took some getting used to but overall was done nicely. The comical situations were all very unique and therefore more hysterical than ever. The Ranger/Morelli saga is getting a little old but it works for the plot. All I can say is Enjoy!

Historia
The thing about Jane Spring is...at 31, she has everything a woman could ask for and seemingly everything a man could long for - great legs, brains, rising star status in the Manhattan D.A.'s office - but she just can't find a man who'll fall madly in love with her. Men are always asking her out, but for some reason no one wants a second date.

If you like to roll your eyes...
Revisado: 06-16-07
This story was way over the top and from the character, plot, and even narrator, it felt as if the story was meant for a senior citizen. No part of it was remotely realistic... it's hard to believe this got made into an audiobook, but then again, senior citizens are hard of hearing so perhaps I'm on the mark as to the target for this book. I like light, fun, LOL books that are closer based in reality.
