Historia
Sea Isle, Scotland, is magical during the holiday season, and Dr. Emilia McRoy can’t wait to enjoy everything her village has to offer. But when the lead singer of a famous band is murdered in the village, just as they were about to launch a world tour, her holiday instantly comes to a halt. As the band’s future hangs in the balance, Emilia discovers that the victim was working on new music that has since disappeared. Were these new lyrics worth killing for? And if so, who is the culprit? It seems more than one person wanted this music star dead.

Historia
It isn't how chef Bridget "Bunny" MacBride imagined her own cooking show unfolding. But, if preparing historic meals with a modern flair is what it takes to get her cooking on the air, she can deliver, even if her dinner guest is a ghost. For their first episode, the Food & Spirits team sets off to investigate Bramsford Manor, a historic house turned famously haunted hotel, in picturesque Hampshire, England. The sprawling estate is said to be home to the Mistletoe Bride, a young woman who died in the eighteenth century, the victim of a tragic accident on her Christmas wedding night.

Here's a polished version of your audiobook review
Revisado: 10-08-24
The mystery itself was fantastic! I never guessed who the murderer was, which kept me hooked until the end. While some parts dragged a little, it was mostly due to the backstory setup for the series, which I understand is necessary.
However, I didn’t enjoy the narrator's voice for the character Brett—it came off as more sinister than charming, which didn’t fit how I imagined the character. Outside of that, the story was great! If the second book is narrated by the same person, I might opt to read it rather than listen to it.

Historia
Jaime and Henry were the perfect couple with the perfect life; together, they ran one of the most successful construction and interior design companies in all of Charlotte, North Carolina. But when Jaime catches her charismatic husband in an affair, she realizes her husband is not the man she thought she married. The divorce is equally gutting—she receives only one thing: a historical house in disrepair. Knowing that any renovation she attempts will be tedious and costly, she starts to believe that things can’t get much worse—until she finds a dead body in the house.

Overall good
Revisado: 01-23-24
I really enjoy the story and like the characters. It was only one part towards the end, when the character does something really stupid that I didn’t care for I just don’t think that smart sleuth would hide inside a place where a previous murder took place but other than that it was a good story if you want something fun to listen to you for a few hours this is definitely a book. If there is a second one, I would listen to it.

Historia
When Emilia explores the impressive castle, she finds a dead man in one of the turrets. The snowstorm hits and the local police can’t reach the castle until it lets up. With no one able to leave, the family insists they carry on with the wedding, which makes Emilia's job as the coroner a bit easier—the suspects are in one place—and complicated because the killer has Emilia in his sights. The fact that no one claims to know the victim isn't helping. It’s up to Emilia to uncover the mystery of who the victim is so the killer doesn’t get away Scot free.

Historia
Mackenzie—Mack—Owens was supposed to live out every millennial’s dream, but instead it turned into a nightmare. Inheriting a house and bookstore, she was going to leave the New York City rat race after getting fired from her job and start a new life on the coast of Cornwall in England. No more 14-hour work days and rats the size of small toddlers. Hello turquoise waters, white sand beaches, and cobblestone streets. Unfortunately, things don’t exactly go as planned.

Historia
Sea Isle was supposed to be the fresh start Dr. Emilia McRoy dreamed of. Far from the busy emergency room across the Atlantic in Seattle, she hoped to settle down and begin this new chapter as a small-town doctor to the quirky residents who immediately welcomed her. When she stumbles across a dead body, she starts to think that she may not be as Scot free of the drama and intrigue as she initially thought.

Wonderful
Revisado: 06-09-23
Being a avid listener to cozy mysteries, over 200 in a yearly, this novel was surprisingly delightful. I loved the characters, setting and story. If your looking for a story with strong characters, a good mystery with a little romance in foreign country (for those who love traveling) this hits all the marks. Waiting on pins and needles for the next installment in early 2024!
Take a chance and travel to Scotland and enjoy the ride!

Slightly Disappointed
Revisado: 04-12-21
While, I typically love Fiona Grace's stories, there seem to be lack of growth for the main character Olivia which is very apparent in this book.. After six books, listening to the character going on and on about the same self-esteem and overly anxious worrying about everything began to annoy me. If the author had changed the type of personal issues or trimmed down the internal dialogue of "Oliva, worry and self doubt" the novel would have been so much better!
