Well, if you wanna hear about Covid…
Revisado: 11-13-24
Stop living in Covid and look forward in life. Maybe that’s what he gets into later in the book, but I couldn’t stomach what had heard thus far. I don’t know. It’s a trained healthcare professional. It sounds like it a lot of my myself. Not someone I want to take advice from.

Are human beings immortal? Are apples conscious? Do our legal systems make assumptions about free will that are just plain wrong? Of all the terrific books on quantum physics—from Stephen Hawking to Brian Greene—the questions they never seem to satisfy are the implications of the science. We know that quantum physics is real—our phones and computers wouldn’t work if the science wasn’t right. But what does it all mean?

how about your next book? You just talk about the subject and leave your own opinions concerning religion, which you obviously know nothing about yourself. I had to stop about 20 minutes in for what it’s worth to everyone.

Historia
Every generation, a journalist has looked deep into the heart of the nuclear military establishment: the technologies, the safeguards, the plans, and the risks. These investigations are vital to how we understand the world we really live in—where one nuclear missile will beget one in return, and where the choreography of the world’s end requires massive decisions made on seconds’ notice with information that is only as good as the intelligence we have. Pulitzer Prize finalist Annie Jacobsen’s Nuclear War: A Scenario explores this ticking-clock scenario.

Tripe
Revisado: 04-13-24
I had to stop listening to this. I couldn’t stand. The reader in the story itself was just tripe. it was nothing but glorifying the burning of flesh, etc. trying to make the reader petrified. Doesn’t mention anything about how they have not been used since and have kept the peace for a very long time. I don’t think she knows what she’s talking about.

This was an obvious hit piece against Trump. The author could have just stated the scenario, but to mention impeachment, Twitter and lying…. Just vile. As a former professional in the nuclear world, I cannot state this more….. Stay away from this book. Political trash.

Historia
When Desert Solitaire was first published in 1968, it became the focus of a nationwide cult. Rude and sensitive. Thought-provoking and mystical. Angry and loving. Both Abbey and this book are all of these and more. Here, the legendary author of The Monkey Wrench Gang, Abbey's Road and many other critically acclaimed books vividly captures the essence of his life during three seasons as a park ranger in southeastern Utah.

Hippy
Revisado: 03-03-23
I struggle to get through this. I still have about 2 1/2 hours left, and I’m determined to finish, but have to tripe that he writes about is ridiculous. Getting rid of people grounding. Dogs up in hamburger meat. I also hazard to guess, but I suggest that creating roads and allowing the public in probably supports his goals more than anything. He’s pretty vocal about his views, and I don’t mean to speak ill of the dead, but some of his chapters were really difficult to get through and considering he spoke about alcohol, and he died an alcoholic, or at least from cirrhosis of the liver, which there’s usually only one cause for…. I don’t know.

The end is a bit much
Revisado: 12-14-22
OK, I have a couple of beefs::
NEST: is Nuclear Emergency Search Team.
A STU3 is pronounce stew as in a dish you eat.
DEFCON is defense condition, and I believe it is put out throughout the entire military not just one aspect of them
Sorry, but Delta force likely won’t be diffusing an improvised nuclear weapon. Nest is probably more suited.

Historia
Here, anthropologist David Graeber presents a stunning reversal of conventional wisdom: He shows that before there was money, there was debt. For more than 5,000 years, since the beginnings of the first agrarian empires, humans have used elaborate credit systems to buy and sell goods - that is, long before the invention of coins or cash. It is in this era, Graeber argues, that we also first encounter a society divided into debtors and creditors.

Revisado: 08-25-22
I had to stop listening to this book, not even one hour in. It is so liberal, I can only imagine what the rest of the book is like. This is obviously a millennial that just does not want to pay for anything in this life, and wants everything handed to him or her. Garbage.

Fred Kaplan, hailed by The New York Times as “a rare combination of defense intellectual and pugnacious reporter,” takes us into the White House Situation Room, the Joint Chiefs of Staff’s “Tank” in the Pentagon, and the vast chambers of Strategic Command to bring us the untold stories - based on exclusive interviews and previously classified documents - of how America’s presidents and generals have thought about, threatened, broached, and just barely avoided nuclear war from the dawn of the atomic age until today.

Not an real policy book.
Revisado: 07-08-20
This was only a political piece. Obvious hatred toward Conservatism and nuclear weapons (Which have kept the peace a good long time). The bias was palpable, which only leads to suspect of the authors real purpose. If you really want true policy, stay away.
