Great investigative journalistic deep dive!

What did you like best about this story?
Explanatory enough to keep the myriad of names (many Russian) straight, without dumbing it down. Tells background stories, then refers to them later during the heat of the election & transition for max impact. It's very well constructed, especially for a story that is a tangled mess, and still unfolding in real life every day.
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
Yes. Reminded me of the delivery of "Frontline" from PBS.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yeah. Consequences paid by Steele's sources.
Any additional comments?
I hope they can write a second installment when this is all over. Hopefully soon.

Yes, but I listened to it over 6 commutes to/from work. I sat in the garages on each end still listening.

Great Palace Intrigue

Really well written, with fantastic imagery and wonderful detail. Treacherous, duplicitous behavior by those high & holy - some things seem to never change, but was flagrantly vicious & violent in the Renaissance. I suggest first reading "Leonardo: The First Scientist" by Michael White ....great historical background accompaniment to this. Highly recommend both audiobooks!
