Historia
This audiobook has a simple message for business leaders: your primary goal must be to serve and raise the poor. The poor need to enter the economic system to buy products, put money in banks, and move into the middle class. This is the only approach that can possibly save the American Dream. John Hope Bryant, successful self-made businessman and founder of the nonprofit Operation HOPE, says business and political leaders are ignoring the one force that could truly re-energize the stalled American economy: the poor.

Historia
For David Goggins, childhood was a nightmare--poverty, prejudice, and physical abuse colored his days and haunted his nights. But through self-discipline, mental toughness, and hard work, Goggins transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a US Armed Forces icon and one of the world's top endurance athletes. The only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force tactical air controller, he went on to set records in numerous endurance events.

Thanks For Writing This Book. for Me.
Revisado: 02-01-24
I feel like David wrote this book for me. In many ways I was David Higgins, then, I got married and had kids (5 kids in 5 years). I became complacent and lost my Goggins drive and incites. This book woke me up. I also empathized with the impact of that drive on how we view the people and world around you. I understand now how humility and finest is needed. Because my uncommoness is nobody's fault but mine to bear.
Thank You!

In 16 in-depth lectures, Professor Dalton puts the key theories of power formulated by several of history's greatest minds within your reach. These lectures trace two distinct schools of political theory, idealism and realism, from their roots in ancient India and Greece through history and, ultimately, to their impact on the 20th century.

Historia
This is an easily digestible argument about what rights we have, what rights Republicans are trying to take away, and how to stop them. Mystal explains how to protect the rights of women and people of color instead of cowering to the absolutism of gun owners and bigots. He explains the legal way to stop everything from police brutality to political gerrymandering, just by changing a few judges and justices. He strips out all of the fancy jargon conservatives like to hide behind and lays bare the truth of their project to keep America forever tethered to its slaveholding past.

I love this book. it explains clearly some of the flaws of the original constitution. I totally agree with Ali's assessment of the Constitution. the Constitution needs to be abolished people need to be brave in recognizing and stating and moving to that end. I like his solution for the judges makes sense to me. excellent book. I will review often.

An American history book wonderfully done
Revisado: 04-27-22
This is an American history book wonderfully done. These histories should be talked, taught everywhere as it underscores the ills of America's beginnings that persist today, mainly because of the lack of acknowledgment and willful ignorance.

Historia
In this “vital, necessary, and beautiful book” (Michael Eric Dyson), antiracist educator Robin DiAngelo deftly illuminates the phenomenon of white fragility and “allows us to understand racism as a practice not restricted to 'bad people'" (Claudia Rankine). Referring to the defensive moves white people make when challenged racially, white fragility is characterized by emotions such as anger, fear, and guilt and by behaviors including argumentation and silence. These behaviors, in turn, function to reinstate white racial equilibrium and prevent meaningful cross-racial dialogue.

Revisado: 02-16-22
This is a good book for white people. Also a good book for black people. The author is very transparent and helpful in explaining the issue of racism. Robin does an excellent job explaining that white peoples Fragility is a major part as to why racism persists even today. The author offer helpful and practical suggestions that might remedy the stronghold of racism in our world. I definitely recommend this book.

She interviewed more than a thousand people, and gained access to new data and official records, to write this definitive and vividly dramatic account of how these American journeys unfolded, altering our cities, our country, and ourselves.
