Historia
The Earth teems with sights and textures, sounds and vibrations, smells and tastes, electric and magnetic fields. But every kind of animal, including humans, is enclosed within its own unique sensory bubble, perceiving but a tiny sliver of our immense world. In An Immense World, Ed Yong coaxes us beyond the confines of our own senses, allowing us to perceive the skeins of scent, waves of electromagnetism, and pulses of pressure that surround us.

I learned a lot about animal senses and how humans effect their lives. The recording was well done.

Good book
Revisado: 02-02-21
I liked the book, I already have the ebook, but like to listen to books while I work. I’m pretty sure the narrator is a computer, if not, he sure sounds like one. The narration is very fast, thankfully I could slow it a bit on the audible app (.8x) to better understand it. Like I said I listen while working, so I’m sure if I gave the audio my undivided attention I could listen full speed.

Historia
We are living in a world of abundance where advertisement and influencers tell us what and when to buy. It's no wonder studies have shown that there is a direct correlation between the number of possessions someone has and the amount of stress they experience which means having more stuff means being more anxious. Minimalism is the ultimate and easiest secret to simplify your life and get rid of all the worries you unconsciously created around your possessions.

Bad editing
Revisado: 12-26-19
This book just repeats itself over and over agin. There is a basic idea that you get rid of clutter and excess things, and spend more time with family and friends, repeated in different ways over and over again. There is bad editing and the reader reads the same lines two or three times in a row. Also there’s throat clearing and a “mama Mia” comment as well. Probably more stuff too, but I had to shut it off by chapter 4. I’ve been on audible for years, this is my first bad review.

Research shows that the human mind is prone to making thinking errors. These errors leave us vulnerable to making decisions based on false beliefs, leading to disastrous consequences for our personal lives, relationships, careers, civic and political engagement, and for our society as a whole. Fortunately, cognitive and behavioral scientists have uncovered many useful strategies for overcoming our mental flaws. This book presents a variety of research-based tools for ensuring that our beliefs are aligned with reality.

Group of short essays
Revisado: 07-22-19
This book is a group of short essays written by different authors. I really liked the content, and it’s short chapters that are easy to separate each subject of truth seeking from the other. It will be easy enough to replay any if the chapters out of sequence without needed to hear another part of the book.
I was disappointed in the audio quality. I had a hard time distinguishing the words the readers voice, it might be how I hear things, or it might be the overall bass tone of his voice. I suggest sampling the audio beforehand, which I didn’t. I was able however to finish because of my love for the content
