Historia
Graduation was on the horizon, and Jonathan and his friends were eager to leave their small world behind. But when a member of their close-knit group mysteriously disappears, a chilling unease settles in. As 'Missing Person' posters saturate the town's streets and the sheriff is without clues, Jonathan and his friends decide to escape to a remote cabin in the woods to get away from the sympathetic looks of their classmates and the anxiety of it all. But their troubles will not be so easily left behind.

Narrator needs to be fired
Revisado: 10-19-24
I have no idea how this got past any sort of quality control. It started out well, but by chapter 3 the guy was reading the same lines 4-5 times, stopping (to check his phone??), and chapter 4 starts with like 30s of room recording from the narrators studio.
I have no idea if the story is good or not, because this half baked disaster needs to be sent back, edited and the narrator needs to return any fee he took from the author.

Horror used as plothole insulator
Revisado: 08-02-23
The book really reads as if they had an ok detective story that needed a few rewrites to get all the plotholes and inconsistencies out but instead they just smudged some psuedo-horror in there instead as a stop gap

Historia
No longer bound to Earth or the Core Sol System, the human race has expanded into the far beyond, seeding itself throughout the final frontier. It has been a time of great expansion, hope, and progress. These remote colonies, some found at the fringes of the Outer Rim, rely on supplies brought to them by deep-space commercial shipping vessels, which transport the needed goods and commodities to keep humanity alive and thriving in the most remote and austere locations.

A great entry into the space-horror canon!
Revisado: 07-31-23
If you like things like DeadSpace, The Expanse or Alien this is going to be a book for you. It does spend quite a lot of time worldbuilding, but that just makes the payoff even better! I hope the author publishes more books in this genre!

Preaching, rather than storytelling
Revisado: 08-06-21
I got through almost all of the book before I just couldn't take the moral platitudes anymore. A good 30% of the book is just the characters preaching to a WW2 vet that England and America are horrible, racist, mysoginistic countries. If that's what you like, then the rest of the story is a nice Indiana Jones/Tomb Raider thing that could be exciting, so it might be for you.

Historia
Bracken, a down-on-his-luck oil man, is offered a chance of redemption when a billionaire offers him a job to repair a ghost oil rig in the South Pacific Ocean. Ya'll like creature features?
Revisado: 05-12-18
This is the book version of the classic popcorn-munching creature feature movies. You like stuff like Deep Blue Sea? Then this is for you.
