The author does a brilliant job of laying out the need for self-esteem in the weight loss journey. The audiobook begins with the snide remarks people give (or we can be afraid people will give). Kent recommends we face reality. If you are 60 pounds overweight, it might be good to right it down. But, it is so critical that you develop beliefs and convictions about yourself that are healthy. If you don't do it for yourself (opposed to pleasing others) and if you don't believe you can do it, you will keep sabotaging your success. Weight loss is so tied in with self-esteem that you may keep returning to food if you don't have the right affirmations. I would highly recommend this book for anyone looking to make a real change.

As someone with very little prior knowledge of the subject, I found the book interesting and easy-to-follow. I could tell that Karlsson was not just knowledgeable, but deeply invested herself in discovering more about this ancient way of life. Of course, that made it more of a joy to read and discover. She was also able to help me see the relevance of understanding these different tales that have so profoundly shaped cultures. I'd highly recommend anyone looking for more info on Norse Mythology to go straight to Karlsson's book!

I love the short devotionals around life, wisdom and relationships! Walker does a great job of bringing together two ideas, like wisdom and forgiveness and painting pictures to help you see something from a different point of view. Refusing to forgive is like tracking in dog poop. Jesus' relationship to us is more of a parent than a babysitter or an owner than an employee. This is a great resource for someone seeking to improve their spiritual life!

I really liked how the author had tried out a lot of these techniques to share with. I come across ads all the time with the newest passive income idea. And in the back of my mind, I'm always wondering if it would work for me. I liked that he shared even if he made just $100 in a month on dropshipping. It helps me know the return on what I might be getting into. In this work, there is a treasure trove of not only ideas for wealthbuilding strategies, but also all kinds of sources to go to in order to help out.

I love that this book gives positivity and control back to those we love who are suffering unbearably in multiple ways. In it, the author shares all the benefits of positive affirmations to the mind and mental health as well as the power of the mind to create realities, such as what we see with a placebo effect.

In this work are words of confidence, strength, gratitude, peace, and hope. I highly recommend it!

I had heard about attachment styles in the past, but more recently began to realize how much they affect our lives. I think learning about your attachment style may be critical to becoming healthy and enjoying your relationships. There is so much peace that comes when you understand more of why you do and feel the way you do.

Zaid does a great job of explaining attachment style for someone new to the topic. His explanation of how a person grows to get that style got me a bit emotional. He talks about the cycle of needing relationships to be healthy, but then pushing people away before they can hurt you too badly. I would highly recommend anyone read this book to understand themselves or others around them!

What an amazing resource for teens and parents or teachers to help prepare them for adulthood. I love the topics this covers. The narrator and tone of the book feel like it is an older sister helping you along - very easy to listen to.

I especially liked the chapter on goal setting. She says to not just have career goals, but on faith, activism and health goals as well. The author provides different theories and angles around goal setting, but emphasizes the importance of "identity setting." Don't just think about what you want to accomplish, but also who you want to be. "Identity does not come over night."

Great book. I would highly recommend it!

This book came at the right time for me. I can feel these affirmations transforming me and my mindset as I hear them. I really love that they are spoken to me. I don't think they would have the same effect if they weren't.

The one I liked the most was "I am a creative problem solver." Right now, I do have major problems to work through and plan for. And this is so important for me to believe.

The chapters are great, giving an explanation before each set of affirmations. Lots of tools and tips are included like time management tools, growth mindset, and calming practices. I would highly recommend this for any professional or anyone looking for a bit of a boost for the day!

I love the attitude of the author. So personal and vulnerable in her writing, sharing about her own weaknesses and mistakes. She realizes that it is much better to be awkward than to keep doing something destructive.

The suggestions are fun and interesting, all of them. The book is so enjoyable between her story-telling and the creative responses to give. And more than using any one of these scripts, this book gives power to someone looking to move forward in their journey with sobriety.

I grew up in a drug-abuse home and would have loved for a book like this to be placed in my mom's hands years and years ago.
