This book is terrible, I would give it 0 stars
Revisado: 11-23-24
I can't believe anyone would give this book a good rating!. The sisters should have "welcome" printed across their foreheads as in welcome mats. They are such sorry excuses for women. The men in this book are total losers. The mother figures are just nasty mean old bitter women. I have not finished the book because quite frankly, it is exhausting to listen to all the loser characters in this sniveling sorry story. I have never disliked all the characters in a book before but none of them are likeable.
Why would the sisters continue to keep in contact with their nasty mother? I would have gone no contact with that witch. Why would they continue to keep in contact with their nasty self serving husband/ex-husband? Rachel should have divorced her @$$hole husband for cheating repeatedly and Jenny should never have kept in contact with her ex and his "too perfect new wife". I still cannot imagine why Jenny would want to stay in contact with an ex that told her he did not want to have a child and then 15 months after divorcing her, get married and have a baby. What is her problem? Why would she want to torture herself by staying friends with that @$$hole??? Even the side characters are either @$$holes or sniveling morons.
Adam is a cheating @$$hole and Rachel should divorce him. Leo is just an @$$hole who just keeps saying that he just wants sex and no serious relationship. At least he is honest about that. Jenny is a moron to keep pursuing him even though he flat out told her he wants nothing more but she keeps fantasizing about a loser.
Their mother is an emotionally abusive woman that they just keep going back to for more abuse. The other mother figure in this novel is just as abusive to her son's fiancé. AND the women all just take it!!!
I have never disliked a book more than this one and all the characters in it.
And the narrator just seems to lull people to sleep with the way she talks. I don't like that either.

Terrible Narrator, Story Just So-So
Revisado: 02-18-24
I usually do not write reviews but I had to with this one. The narrator was horrible, the way she ended each sentence just made me cringe. I was so tempted to just stop after the first chapter but I wanted to give the story a shot. I am not alone in disliking her. The story was so drawn out and painful to hear. It was so obvious as to what was going to happen. I forced myself to finish it, I wish I didn't. This was so painful to listen to due to the narrator and the story itself. I'm hoping I can return it to get my credit back!!! Thank god I only listened to it while falling asleep. I usually rewind if I fall asleep and miss some chapters in other books but this one, I did not. I just continued where I fell asleep the night before. I didn't miss much and could figure out what was going on. I only got this book because a much younger person said it was so great. Maybe for a younger audience it is considered "great" or the fact that she was reading the book, but I am in my 50's and just found this very childish in the story and the narrator. I will not be listening to the next book, I can find much better books to spend my credits on.

meh... spoiler alert
Revisado: 03-25-21
I still have 4 hours to finish but.... it isn't made clear who "Gina" is running from. So she is the wife of a serial killer, why would SHE have stalkers??? She was acquitted. And is she running from them or the serial killer husband, who is in jail forever? And WHY would they be stalking her??? It isn't made clear. She is not the serial killer! And how does the serial killer husband keep finding her after she continues to keep running and changing her and her kid's identities? Her person who keeps giving her new identities apparently isn't any good if her serial killer husband can keep finding her while he's in prison. It doesn't even make any sense.
It is so typical a scenario, she falls for a guy who happens to enter her life, conveniently. And now she refuses to run and will stand up to her crazy ex, which happens to be a serial killer. I bet all will be happy in the end....but of course, there will be a cliffhanger to lead to a second book, which I will not bother to buy because this one is so obvious, it hurts my ears... I am going to finish this one because I bought the book but won't bother to listen to anymore. Why did Audible suggest this one to me????!!!!

15 hours TOO long
Revisado: 03-21-21
The first book was good except that it took toooooo long to finish! There was so much extraneous nonsense that should have been left out and just finish the story! 30 hours for one book??? The author could have gotten there in half the time. I love fantasy but this was the LONGEST book ever. I forced myself through the other two, although I have to admit, I fell asleep to them most of the time because that is all they were good for, not worth actually paying attention to... I can't understand why this series has so many stars....

I listened to this trilogy and cannot get back those hours and do not understand why these books have such a high rating and number of stars. I can't figure out why the author named the main characters so similarly, which made it difficult to keep track of them. Also, the first book was about 15 hours too long and then I had to force myself to get through the rest of them because, let's face it, I already spent the credits and didn't want to waste them. Thankfully, I used these books to fall asleep to, which that was not an issue! I usually love fantasy but have to say, this is the worst series I have ever listened to, even falling asleep to.

Needs a new narrator
Revisado: 01-29-17
Would you try another book from Janet Evanovich and/or Debi Mazar?
I would try another book from the author but not the reader.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
It was unfortunate that this narrator was chosen to read this book. She read too fast and it was difficult to tell who was talking because she hardly changed her voice.
Any additional comments?
Someone should have checked into how to pronounce Chambersburg, the main area the novel takes place. Within the first 3 minutes, the reader calls it "Shamsburg". Someone should have caught that. Also, the unabridged version would have been much better.

Story is good but audible narration not so much
Revisado: 11-04-15
What made the experience of listening to March Into Hell the most enjoyable?
I have listened to the prequel and book 1 with a different narrator so it was a little disconcerting to hear a "new" voice for "Mark" in book 2 but I got use to it in the first chapter. What I didn't like were the sound effects that went along with the narration. It was weird and I haven't heard anything like it in the hundreds of books I have listened to previously. it makes it sound corny and is distracting from the content of the book. I like the story but I hope the future audibles for this series do not include the sound effects and I hope the original narrator, Daniel Penz, returns, I liked his voice better but that maybe because "he" was "Mark" in the first 2 books I listened to....
Would you be willing to try another one of Lee Alan’s performances?
Maybe in a different series.
Any additional comments?
Leave out the sound effects, they detract from the story.
