Adorably fabulous
Revisado: 05-06-20
What an adorable listen. Well I love it. Although I'm not a Christian kind of guy, I really enjoyed this quaintlittle story. It has a bit of everything, love, family, friends, tragedy, all neatly woven around the main character Zillia. If you enjoy books like the Pearl Spence novels by Susie Finkbeiner, then you dear listener may enjoy this one to. J. Grace Pennington's narration is fabulous. She is softly spoken, with a sweet voice that blends well to the main character. While her narration is exactly that, and not a performance, I believe she was a great choice, and made this a memorable audio experience

Rice Moore is just beginning to think his troubles are behind him. He’s found a job protecting a remote forest preserve in Virginian Appalachia where his main responsibilities include tracking wildlife and refurbishing cabins. It’s hard work, and totally solitary - perfect to hide away from the Mexican drug cartels he betrayed back in Arizona. But when Rice finds the carcass of a bear killed on the grounds, the quiet solitude he’s so desperately sought is suddenly at risk.

Brilliant
Revisado: 05-06-20
Unlike many reviews that I have read, I absolutely love this book. So glad I didn't read them before my purchase. Just goes to show that not everyone's tastes are the same. If this is James A. McLaughlin's debut, then I can't wait for the next novel. MacLeod Andrews performance is 5star. The summary's description is awesome and sums this story up well. Just had to give it a shot after hearing the audio sample. The ending is brilliant, and left me wanting more. My only hope is that you dear listener enjoy it as much as I did. Thanks heaps to everyone who made this an audio journey worth taking

Historia
This is the story of Harriet Ann Jacobs, a story of slavery in the 19th century, a story of terrible human suffering, and a story that, later on, played a significant role in the abolitionist movement. 19th-century Harriet represents many other slave women who need to be free like Harriet finally was. Hence, Harriet's story has been brought here as the second volume of Absurd's Slave Narrative series as a wake-up call to save the victims of slavery and to save the mankind.

Great listening for all ages
Revisado: 04-22-20
Despite its age this book will never grow old, and should be compulsory reading in schools all over the globe, While Harriet Ann Jacobs book is set in a life an time that is foreign to many of us, Darla Middlebrook’s narration an performance brings it to life in a way that only she can. While this book is not graphic by today’s standards, it would have been very confronting in the day. Many thanks to everyone who made this audiobook a timeless treasure, and a pleasure to listen to

I enjoyed this as an easy going listen. While it wasn’t as good as How Not To

Definitely worth the cost of a credit. Many thanks to Zack Brooks, an Sean Duregger for the opportunity to listen for free

Stunning and Beautiful
Revisado: 10-18-19
Well done Katherine L. Holmes. Love this adorable little story. While it is aimed at a younger audience, it can be enjoyed by all ages. The story is well crafted an reminded me of my own childhood, growing up in a small agricultural town in the wheat -belt of western Australia, where the Avon River was, and still is to this day, woven into my memories and dreams. Endless Summer days were filled with swimming, paddling Home made canoes, an sharing the water with ducks, swans, and plenty of other birds and wildlife. Aven Shore's narrating was beautifully done, and was made even more so, by the song of the Loons that have been edited into the story from time to time. This made a great story even better. My only hope is that you dear listener enjoy this as much as I did. Many thanks to Katherine L. Holmes, Aven Shore, and to everyone else who made this a truly memorable experience

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I love it
Revisado: 10-08-19
Caroline Johnson is an old Fashion southern gal looking for love. Yes, she goes through the fellas an the chardonnay like they are going out of style, but what is a chick to do when every guy she meats makes her weak at the knees an maybe a little moist in the panties. And then theres Mike. He's an all round top bloke who doent mind abit of fluff from time to time, but thats an added bonus of beeing a Lovable kind of guy, who just happens to run the best bar in town, and is Caroline's best friend, until something happens that could change their lives forever. As far as narraters go, Suzanne Barbetta is brilliant, and gets a big 👍 from me for bringing the characters to life with her sweet easy listening voice. I was hooked from the moment I heard the audio Sample, just had to give it a raz, so glad I did. To you dear listener, I only hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Many thanks to Lisa Becker. A nice relaxing listen
Revisado: 10-03-19
While this isn't an out of the box smash hit, I found it to be a funky little yarn. Something you take along with you on a trip to the beach, on summer vacation, or just waiting in the departure lounge for your flight to who knows where. The narrater is easy on the ears, an a great Choice for the job. So if you're a teenager, or just young at heart, then give this one a raz, I'm sure it will bring back some long forgotten childhood memories, and brighten your day. Many thanks to Andrew Rolston, Josh Horowitz, an everybody else who made this a light and breezy audio experience

Detailing his childhood and teenage years, he tells how his father raped him from when he was a toddler until six years of age, how his mother subjected him to bone-breaking beatings, and how all of this culminated in a tragic episode when he was 17 years old that almost cost him his life. He also explains how his parents were able to hide their actions, including the murder of a sibling, due to his father’s high position in a US spy satellite program.

Very confronting, an not an easy listen
Revisado: 10-01-19
as the title suggests, this autobiography will leave you speechless. Robert's Story of his childhood and growing into an adult is very confronting. I can't even begin to imagine how difficult it must've been to put his traumatic upbringing into words. My only hope, is in doing so he might be able to find some peace and belonging, surrounded by Friends and loved ones. I love all of Aven Shores work, an this is the best so far. The fact that a woman was tasked with the job sets it apart from everything else. There is one particular spot when you can actually hear the Panic in her voice as she describes a terrifying scene. Both the audio Version of this book and the narration both deserve five stars. Robert was in my thoughts an prayers for days after this audio journey. Many thanks to Robert Ben Mitchell for sharing his story with us. To Aven Shore for her outstanding narration, and to everybody else for making this book possible
