Check it out

Pretty good book, it picks up and focuses on where the last book left off. Roy is captured and Walt is on the run after their last operation. Stakes pick up and the book is engaging the entire time. The book leaves off where this could be the last or they can open up for another. Either way if the story ends here it was a good wrap up, but if there is another I’ll likely grab it

Revisado: 04-03-25
This story picked up and just kept a fast pace the whole time. Story and characters are great along with the narration being impeccable. Zoey is back and links back up with Cory to stop the Russians going after a banker who hid Russian money in the midst of a trade negotiation between the US and Russia. The Gray Man and company work to stop it

When the Colonial Marines set out after their deadliest prey, the Xenomorphs, it's what Corporal Hicks calls a bug hunt - kill or be killed. Here are fifteen all-new stories of such "close encounters", written by many of today's most extraordinary authors. Set during the events of all four Alien films, sending the Marines to alien worlds, to derelict space settlements, and into the nests of the universe's most dangerous monsters, these adventures are guaranteed to send the blood racing - one way or another.

Hit and miss like any anthology series
Revisado: 04-03-25
Like most anthologies some stories and narrations are great and others are meh. I think what will truly dictate your enjoyment of this series is how into the Alien story lore you are. I did like the varying perspectives of every type of character including even the aliens in some cases.

Modern humans have come a long way in the 70,000 years they’ve walked the earth. Art, science, culture, trade - on the evolutionary food chain, we’re true winners. But it hasn’t always been smooth sailing, and sometimes - just occasionally - we’ve managed to truly f--k things up.

Humans at it
Revisado: 04-03-25
Book is pretty interesting in highlighting errors of the human race and the monumental impacts that occurred after. Most of the time it’s humans thinking they know nature better than nature does. It also highlights the monumental political and societal errors made that had catastrophic effects. This would be a good book to teach to kids to really think problems through and highlight all the follow on impacts of decision making.

Historia
Before he was the Gray Man, Court Gentry was Sierra Six, the junior member of a CIA action team. In their first mission, they took out a terrorist leader, at a terrible price. Years have passed. The Gray Man is on a simple mission when he sees a ghost: the long-dead terrorist, but he's remarkably energetic for a dead man. A decade of time hasn't changed the Gray Man. He isn't one to leave a job unfinished or a blood debt unpaid.

Awesome book that gives a glimpse of the Gray Man’s past and first missions and becoming Sierra Six. Story flips back to that and current day events of the gray man series and ties it all in beautifully. Book was great writing and voice acting phenomenal as always. Definitely worth the buy

Nice sci-fi spin
Revisado: 03-27-25
Really enjoyed the book. Story was good and engrossing, I liked the fact that it was a new spin on futuristic technology and how the author dives into that technology. Wouldn’t be surprised to see the people of the world doing the things in this book if that technology did come to fruition.

Historia
My name is Kazimir Wolfe. People call me "Kaz", except they don’t. I never use my real name; it’s too dangerous, for me and for anyone I meet. I’m on the run from the law, who think I killed my aunt, and from whoever did kill her, because they want to finish the job. So, I move around a lot, working construction or whatever job I can find. It’s a lonely life. I don’t let anyone get close...people who get close to me end up dead. Why? I’m a wizard. The world’s only wizard, as far as I know.

Revisado: 03-27-25
I’m a fan of the author and narrator but wasn’t sure what to expect with this story line. I’m happy to say the book was great and very entertaining. The loose humor and antics of the characters was definitely funny and enjoyable but did a great job with the seriousness of the story. Definitely gonna keep up with this series now.

And Special Agent Marcus Ryker is leading an advance trip along the Israeli-Lebanon border, ahead of the secretary’s arrival. But then Ryker and his team are ambushed by Hezbollah forces. The last thing the White House can afford is a new war in the Mideast that could derail the treaty and set the region ablaze. U.S. and Israeli forces are mobilizing to find the hostages and get them home, but Ryker knows the clock is ticking.

I’m out
Revisado: 02-24-25
Unfortunately I’m gonna have to pop smoke on this series. I bought this book having listened to the first two books in the series and having already bought the third (but didn’t listen). The third book was a major disappointment due to the swap in narrators and I believe the reading on this one is worse than the 3rd book. Nothing against Guidall but this style book is not his forte. Hardly any differentiation between characters and accents are pretty unbelievable. Excessive pauses and disruptive cadence just does not allow this story to flow. His narration honestly just detracts from the books to where I have a hard time paying attention. I hate to use this example but imagine Joe Biden reading a book and trying to convince you he’s a bad ass operator but the whole time it just sounds like he’s struggling to even speak and breath let alone pull off these feats of skill and physical ability. If I get a print copy I’ll read these books but until they switch narrators I’m done.

Historia
In 1307, as they struggled to secure their last strongholds in the Kingdom of Jerusalem, the Templars fell afoul of the vindictive and impulsive king of France. On Friday, October 13, hundreds of brothers were arrested en masse, imprisoned, tortured, and disbanded amid accusations of lurid sexual misconduct and heresy. They were tried by the Vatican in secret proceedings. But were they heretics or victims of a ruthlessly repressive state?

Interesting history
Revisado: 02-21-25
Pretty interesting to hear how influential the Templars ended up becoming and how they got there. It was even more surprising to see how quickly they fell due to the decisions of a few. Great book to learn about the true history opposed to the fanatical romanticization you typically hear about in stories and myths.
