This book is completely different from any of Piccoult's other novels, but a fantastic one! If you enjoy historical fiction (or truth, who knows?), this one is for you. Highly recommended!

A marvelous listen

I selected this book purely because I love listening to Caroline Lee, but in the end enjoyed the story so much that I am sorry the author's other books are not available on Audible. I would definitely recommend this book to all art lovers, and also those who are not so much into it. The plot is very interesting, involving several different aspects, ranging from mafia activities to finding lost loved ones, and with a glimpse into the authentication of art works and auctioning thereof.

The author is seemingly very fond of Prince Charles and disliked Prince Diana. This is not an enjoyable book, even though the narrator is good. Diana is depicted as a very sly person with no positive traits. I could not finish listening.

Not worth the hype.

I did not enjoy listening to the book because parts of it are boring and do not contribute to a storyline. It does get more interesting in the second half of the book. Another disappointment is the narrator -he is not articulating well and swallows his words.

'n Aangrypende historiese roman wat ek nie kon neersit nie. Die voorlesing is baie goed, maar hier en daar word sinne herhaal en die voorleser maak ook deurgaans die fout om na die Vrouelandbou-unie te verwys as FLU in plaas van VLU. Dit maak egter nie afbreuk aan 'n uiters genotvolle luisterervaring nie.
