Historia
As management reels from the unexpected conclusion of the seventh level, the surviving crawlers stumble onto the eighth and find themselves scattered. It’s a map based on Earth’s final days before the collapse, where ethereal, intangible ghosts of humanity go about their lives, oblivious of the impending doom. Living amongst these ghosts are monsters based in Earth lore. “Legendary” creatures tied to the geographical location they inhabit. Each team of crawlers is given a task: Find and capture six of these beasts.

Waste of time after 7 books
Revisado: 07-02-23
This whole series was good, despite long intensive statistics and numbers. This book is just numbers and statistics with a tiny event here and there. No progression, just character building. After the first battle it feels like nothing happened and doesn’t even set up for the next book. There was even a 12 minute chapter about his violent diarrhea. I ended up skipping through most of this book towards the end because it didn’t go anywhere. Waste of time.

Historia
For a thousand years the ash fell and no flowers bloomed. For a thousand years the Skaa slaved in misery and lived in fear. For a thousand years the Lord Ruler, the "Sliver of Infinity," reigned with absolute power and ultimate terror, divinely invincible. Then, when hope was so long lost that not even its memory remained, a terribly scarred, heart-broken half-Skaa rediscovered it in the depths of the Lord Ruler's most hellish prison.

It picked up to be better than expected
Revisado: 04-09-22
At first I was questioning it because of the female character and the way the story was feeling a little slow, but by the end of a couple hours it was just a very well laid out foundation for a great story. The character development was great. It reminded me of V for Vendetta at times with the male and female character, but with a very obviously different twist.

Good if you like dark and twisted entertainment
Revisado: 09-24-21
They did a great job at creating the experience of being there. Unfortunately, that means you get a good dose of being in some of the darkest and grossest places. Putting that into my psyche is just not for me. DC is pretty known for having twisted and dark characters, and this seems to amplify that into a more stimulating experience. Also, the plot seemed a little weak without a lot of energy behind the actions taking place.

Narrator ruined it for me
Revisado: 09-02-21
It's like getting invested in several seasons of a tv show and then having the whole thing recasted and expecting it to be the same. I thought I'd still give it a shot since I'm invested in the story, but I couldn't even keep my attention on the story the same way with this voice. The narrator sounds like he's basically doing the same voice for everyone with barely any fluctuation. He reads like he's in a hurry. There's no heart in it. The monotone voice makes it hard to know who's talking and also makes it easy to just zone out. I was unable to immerse myself in this book like the others. I don't think I'll be continuing on with the series. If this narrator did the first book I probably wouldn't have even gotten into it. The story might be good, but I couldn't even get into it because of the lack of captivation from the narrator. I hope they go back to the former person.

A joyful experience
Revisado: 08-10-21
I was pleasantly surprised at how good this was. The writing was so descriptive and elaborate. The story never lagged or got stagnant. It stayed jovial the whole time without being childish. For a comedy it actually held great substance and showed strong archetypes of our humanity and reflections through alien encounters to see where our race is at. The depth it touches at times into the expanded self also leaves me very curious to see what the sequel will bring. This book touches on fun, humor, spirituality, politics, the human psyche, human connection, and so much more. Definitely worth a listen to bring some light hearted, but still thought provoking, energy in.

Everything except the kiss was great. It's hard to connect the story to being part of the normal TV show, but it fits well enough.

Historia
The Battle of Serenity Valley was the turning point that led the Independents to their defeat at the hands of the Alliance. Yet the Browncoats had held the valley for weeks against all odds, before being ordered to lay down their arms. Command stated they refused to send in airpower because the ground war was "too hot". But the soldiers who were there insist that was not true.... While picking up a new cargo on Persephone, Captain Malcolm Reynolds is kidnapped by a bunch of embittered veteran Browncoats who suspect him of sabotaging the Independents during the war.
