I enjoyed this audiobook immensely. It was an interesting surprise to see that the protagonist is a dungeon monster, and a self-admitted moron at that. The situations are laughable...although it's like being in a horror film and wondering how the bad guy is going to keep evading the good guys. It does have mature content, but it's not overdone. The comedy kept me laughing. The voice-acting was top-notch, and helped boost the story. just be warned, you'll be seeing the story through the type of character your RPG hero would be hunting down.

Great mixed-genres adventure

A good continuation of a series that mixes genres. Sword duels and armored car races mix with frontier wild-west setting. (Although, in this world, there are no guns). I felt that the storyline was good, and complimented by some personal twists for the main protagonist. I listened to the audiobook version, and felt that Jess Nahikian's narration added great poise, well-understood, and emotional. I'd love to see a third story.

This was a great personal story, blending an unusual partnership composed of dueling swords and roaring car engines. The author opens up by explaining the alternate history which sets up this world. Narrator is top notch and skilled at the many voices she creates. The story is full of action and emotional highs and lows. I will definitely be checking out the next book.

This first installment left me curious about the relationship of dragons and magic in this world. It seems to have a unique approach, and even the first book does not bridge all these questions and leaves a reader wanting for the rest of the series. Vantage passes between two young heroes facing different problems over the course of the book. Narration is top notch. Only downside, some repetitiveness and hammering of points that I'm not sure if meant for a younger audience or typical of audiobooks, since I am still new to the experience. I plan on continuing the series and look forward to the next installment.

It's great to enjoy stories narrated by their authors. I feel it puts more enthusiasm and feels into the tale, and you get a more honest telling. Minnesotan Claire Jones continues to train and fight for her friends on another plane of existence. She finds both help and worries in her new dual personality. More depth is added to vyrm culture, and more power players enter the story. Plus, Zabe is in for a few shocks regarding his lost family.

This has been an enjoyable adventure that spans multiple planes, including Minnesota! A young woman from today's world finds herself dealing with the supernatural. Reality is interrupted by a werewolf, controlling wizard, huntress from another realm, native american shaman, lizardfolk, elementals and her own planar twin. This plane-hopping tale takes readers on an action-packed journey. Suitable and entertaining for teens and adults. Good as a stand-alone but with room for many more stories to be told. The author narrated his own work, throwing his passion into his characters and descriptions.
