Fun and Unexpected

What a great story! I was hesitant at first because of the MC’s age. Being in my forties, I can’t really relate to 16 year olds anymore. If it had been any other narrator it might have been a problem. She did a wonderful job of portraying someone young without sounding like a total twit. My favorite thing about this story was that I was able to listen to it with my middle school daughter. No sexy times. It is surprising how hard it is to find a paranormal/fantasy book that isn’t full of detailed sex.

What a wonderful story. I’m so happy I took the chance on it. I was really on the fence about it, thinking it was just going to be like so many others out there. It isn’t. This is a unique heartfelt story that shines above the rest.
I was wary at first with narration as it seemed a bit flat. Once the story ensnares you it is apparent that the Angela Dawe portrays the characters beautifully. I do believe the audio quality could be better though. It sounded like a slight echo was there along with some fading in and out in the beginning.
I am now looking into other books from this author.
